Commissioned by H.E. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa,,, and designed by, the striking structure resembles an old Bahraini ship, and the content of the exhibit takes you through a journey of Bahrain’s history with the sea, trade and crafts.
Designed by, the exhibit it takes you from an intense yet abstract olfactory introduction and into the objects and stories. The exhibit design hardware is inspired by ship engineering, and made everything look sleek at the same time. The structure and its light materials let the air go through for natural ventilation, and you could really feel the effect when outside was 30°C.
The Saudi Pavilion, designed by, was also awarded the Gold Medal in its category.
