This iconic natural wonder is one of the most unique landmarks in Western Australia! Rising 15 metres high and stretching over 100 metres long, Wave Rock looks exactly like a giant ocean wave frozen in time 🌊
Formed over 2.7 billion years ago, the curved granite cliff is a true bucket list stop! 😲
Standing next to the base of the rock is absolutely incredible, but you can also walk to the top for amazing views over the surrounding bushland and salt lakes. 🥾🌿

This iconic hike leads to one of the best viewpoints in Western Australia! From the top you’ll get breathtaking 360° views over turquoise bays, white sand beaches and the rugged coastline of Esperance ⛰️🌊 Rising 262 metres above sea level, this massive granite dome is believed to be over 1 billion years old. 😲
🥾The 3 km return hike takes around 45 to 90 minutes. It’s short but steep, leading you across the granite all the way to the summit, where a natural rock cave frames incredible coastal views. 🏞️
📍 Frenchman Peak, Cape Le Grand National Park
I had to leave the country to do that, and that’s when I got stuck in New Zealand due to the pandemic. We ended up having a long-distance relationship for 13 months! 💔
Even though it was the most difficult time for me, I didn’t go back to my home country, because I knew the borders between NZ and AU would open up before those between Europe and Australia. ❌
After we were finally able to reunite, we moved in together and settled into life in Melbourne with good jobs and we were just really happy to be together again 🥰
But, we wanted something more - something beyond the usual routine. So last year, we bought a van and left everything behind. 🚐
We started van life in our early 30s, going against the traditional path of settling down, buying a house, or having kids - things society often expects at this age. 😁
The past year has been full of adventures and incredible experiences. Even though we’ve taken on some casual work again for now, we’re not planning on stopping anytime soon. This lifestyle feels right for us, even if it’s not the usual way ✈️✨
As a mixed-nationality couple with different backgrounds and cultures, things can sometimes get more complicated. Since we don’t even share the same first language, communication has to be extra clear.☝🏼
But especially after living and traveling together in a tiny van 24/7, we’ve learned to really understand each other, accept our differences, and respect each other’s needs. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s definitely made our relationship stronger.❤️
