Darlene’s design approach was a perfect match for this particular project; her style is contemporary with a touch of charm, her process thoughtful and discerning, and her creative touch sophisticated yet sensible. It was evident in this home that every detail, large and small, had been treated with the same meticulous attention. Darlene’s effort in this project included architectural adjustments, selecting interior finishes, and sourcing decor pieces to complement the owner’s collection ⚡️
The design details that stood out to me:
🍳 A gorgeous marble kitchen island that contrasts with custom cabinetry in the kitchen
😍 Not one but two delightful, velvet Eames loungers, one in pink, another a blue-grey
🖼️ A tailored alcove en route to the primary suite, filled with pieces sourced by the owner
👏🏼 Absolutely everything about the primary suite: the mustard yellow pleated headboard, the marble side tables, and the marble ledge for art in the bathroom
🍃 The far guest bedroom downstairs, situated on grade with a garden view so that it feels you are napping among daisies – the closet nook in this space also doesn’t disappoint
⚡️A small, but notable detail: the closet pulls. Not featured in the video, but they stole my heart.
