I have let myself feel all the emotions of this big change in my life, and they weren’t always pretty, but I did the best I could. However, that’s just life, and as I approach 50 in just a few days time, I know enough to realise that that is just how it goes sometimes. It isn’t always fair, and it isn’t always what you think you deserve, but you have to get up and get on; there is no alternative. Nobody will do your recovery for you; that has to come from a place deep inside. Accept it, make your peace with it, and move along with your journey… you just never know where that might lead. ✨ 🐦🔥

Simon and I, after more than 15 years together, are now to go our separate ways. Just a few small words, uttered in less than a few seconds, can change everything in just a moment. Words cannot adequately convey all of my emotions about having somehow lost the love of someone who has been a part of my life for so long. We have shared so much together and I shall miss everything, including, not least, our beloved home.
I have truly put my heart and soul into everything you see here in these little squares. The process has taught me so much about myself, and who I am, and what I am capable of. I will leave a piece of me here, and I hope very much that whoever moves into our once home, that they feel that.
I now must begin the process of moving on, and I choose to do so without anger or bitterness, or regret. I am so very sad, but I know I am also strong, and I am lucky. I have so much else in my life, and such wonderful family and friends. I am forever grateful for what life has given me, and I choose to look forward towards what is next.
Thank you all for your love and support over the years; it has meant so much. I am not sure what I will do on here at the moment, if anything, but I’m sure you will understand if I take a break for a while.
