for me, nothing could feel further from reality.
I have never felt more alive.

More comfortable in my own skin.
And perhaps the greatest freedom of all…
I’ve finally let go of so much self-judgement.
There’s something about travel that awakens you.
New places.
New conversations.
New perspectives.
It reminds you that life is still unfolding — that there is still so much beauty to experience, discover, and become 🙏
For me, this chapter has become less about perfection… and more about presence.
Less about proving… and more about living.

With our stay just moments from the iconic Spanish Steps, I wandered through the streets with no agenda other than to observe, feel and create. And then magic happened… I found myself immersed in a beautiful religious procession along Via del Corso dedicated to Saint Francis of Paola — a saint known for humility, charity and miracles ✨
That’s the beauty of travel and photography… the most unforgettable moments are often the ones you never plan for 🙏
In our first 24 hours, we’ve walked through centuries of history and wonder — standing in awe at the Colosseum, wandering the sacred halls of Vatican City, gazing up at the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, tossing coins into the Trevi Fountain and soaking in the timeless beauty of the Pantheon 🏛️
As a photographer, cities like Rome remind me that storytelling is everywhere — in the light, the chaos, the stillness and the people passing by.
A few photography reminders I always travel with:
✨ Light is everything
Early mornings and golden hour will always be your best friend. Soft light creates mood, emotion and depth in every frame.
✨ Composition matters
Rome is full of movement and tourists — don’t fight it, use it. Allow people in the background to add energy and authenticity to your story. Some of the best images come from embracing the chaos, not controlling it.
✨ Play with perspective
Use leading lines, arches, cobblestone streets and architecture to guide the eye. Experiment with the rule of thirds, shoot low, shoot high and never be afraid to frame things differently. Creativity often lives in the angles others overlook.
And perhaps the most important lesson… never force a photograph. The best images happen when you slow down enough to truly see what’s unfolding in front of you.

🌎 Exploring Antarctica is like stepping into a different world. Deep in the heart of this three million year old continent, lies a frozen desert of stunning snow contrasts along with a realm of humpback whales, birds, penguins & seals.
For me, Antarctica strips photography back to its purest form. There are no busy backdrops, no distractions—just ice, water, sky, and life. Every crack in an iceberg feels sculpted. Every penguin interaction feels unscripted yet perfectly timed. The scale is overwhelming; your lens constantly negotiates between the immensity of the landscape and the intimacy of fleeting moments.
Light behaves differently here. It’s softer, longer, more reflective—bouncing off snow and ice to create a natural diffuser that photographers dream about. Shadows are gentle, colours are restrained, and whites are never just white—they’re layered with blues, silvers, and whispers of pink.
Emotionally, it’s unlike anywhere else. You photograph slowly, deliberately, almost reverently. You wait more. You observe more. You shoot less—but with more intention. There’s a heightened awareness that you are standing in one of the last truly untouched places on Earth, and that awareness seeps into every frame.
Antarctica teaches you that great photography isn’t about control—it’s about surrender. Surrendering to the cold, the weather, the wildlife, the unpredictability. And in that surrender, you find images that feel timeless, honest, and deeply human.
