Para acceder a los salones se diseñó un pasillo que, a manera de nueva fachada interior, aprovecha la entrada de luz natural proveniente de las ventanas preexistentes. En esta superficie o nuevo muro se realizaron aberturas circulares que coinciden con el centro de cada vano, generando un ritmo visual que conecta el interior con la luz exterior y aporta carácter al recorrido.
En la superficie derecha de este pasillo, donde se ubican los accesos a los salones, el muro se transforma en plafón mediante una media bóveda que envuelve el recorrido. Cada acceso se enmarca con una cenefa de azulejo y una línea de luz que resalta la entrada, reforzando la continuidad espacial.
ROCA es un espacio donde lo mineral y lo etéreo conviven en equilibrio.
Access to the studios is through a wide corridor that functions as a new interior façade, taking advantage of the natural light that enters through the preexisting windows. On this surface or new wall, circular openings were created to align with the center of each bay, generating a visual rhythm that connects the interior with natural light and lends character to the passageway.
On the right-hand side of this corridor, where the entrances to the studios are located, the wall transitions into a ceiling through a half-vault that envelops the passage. Each entrance is framed by a tile border and a line of light that highlights the access, reinforcing spatial continuity.
ROCA is, in essence, a space where the mineral and the ethereal coexist in balance.

El contraste aparece al incorporar cortinas ligeras que atraviesan casi todo el espacio del vestíbulo. Frente a la solidez y permanencia de la roca, las telas se mueven con el viento, evocando la suavidad, fluidez y dinamismo propios de la práctica del pilates.
A deliberate contrast emerges with the incorporation of light curtains that span almost the entire reception area. Against the solidity and permanence of the stone, the fabric moves with the wind, evoking the softness, fluidity, and dynamism characteristic of Pilates practice.

ROCA is an intervention project in the city of
Morelia, Michoacan that houses a Pilates Studio.
As a design premise, we took the name itself as a starting point to create a space inspired by mineral stones, the practice of Pilates and the strength of matter.
The granite façade becomes the first architectural gesture: an incision in the shape of the brand’s isotipo.

Santomate, ubicado en Morelia, Michoacán, es un proyecto que integra tres propiedades con un estilo colonial. Su restaurante busca conectar espacialmente las propiedades a través de un patio central, evitando distracciones visuales con espacios casi monocromáticos en verde, azul y amarillo, inspirados en la artesanía local. El bar destaca con una barra curva de azulejo verde y cobre, el patio central, el cual está rodeado de vegetación, sirve como terraza y comedor. Los salones presentan detalles en azul y alfarería vidriada, mientras el diseño de los baños destaca por una transición del verde al amarillo, resaltando la artesanía mexicana.
