This image was captured back in April last year during our trip to the Lembeh Strait, Indonesia. It features a Braun’s Pughead Pipefish peering out for just a brief moment from deep within a cluster of coral polyps. Its wide-eyed expression was revealed through a narrow, naturally framed opening. I've only seen these pipefish a handful of times and this was the only instance where I've managed to get a nice clean shot of one, patience certainly required!
