Every project holds a special meaning in my life, just like the students and audiences who show up and become part of the experience.
But the greatest “reward” is working among and alongside friends, who are also outstanding professionals.
These moments captured from our “SAMBA ROOTS” workshop say so much about our dedication to what we set out to do, individually and collectively, celebrating living bodies, our culture, our dance, and what is revealed through the flowing contours of movement, each person in their own space and through the music.
The thread of our dance doesn’t just draw shapes and create connections; it preserves memory, invites experience, and creates continuity of life through a language that is subtle yet enduring, capable of crossing generations and remaining meaningful long after words have faded.
