Tried a different flour and switched up the recipe — the dough felt much easier to work with this time. Still plenty to learn, but they tasted great and you can’t beat making pizza in the sunshine 🔥😎

We visited last weekend. As many of you know, we’re quite partial to a Miller & Carter! This isn’t our usual one to visit, but we were over that way and thought… why not?
To start, we had the halloumi fries and the chargrilled king prawns 🍤
For mains, we both went for the 50-day aged steaks — the 10oz Black Angus fillet mignon and the 8oz Black Angus sirloin 🤤
On the side, we chose the Camembert mashed potato, sautéed greens, and Chantenay carrots.
Overall, it was good and the steaks were cooked perfectly 👌🏼 However, if we’re being honest, we have had better from Miller & Carter before. The steaks were very close to going cold by the time we ate them, and the veg was a little undercooked. We don’t like being negative about places because we know busy days can affect service, and it was a busy Saturday afternoon, so maybe that played a part.
Still a lovely meal overall and always a solid choice for steak lovers 🥩✨

A gorgeous full English breakfast sat outside in the sunshine was exactly what we needed after partying the night away 🕺💃🏼
The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, really well priced, and the staff were so friendly from start to finish. Couldn’t fault a thing — 10/10 and we’ll definitely be back!

Last night we headed to for their Sunset Soirée evening and honestly, what a vibe 🌅🎶 Featuring an amazing live singer who was later joined by, incredible food, and endless drinks all night long 🍸🍾
The cicchetti-style menu was perfect for trying a bit of everything without feeling too full. We enjoyed:

🌶️ Pepperoni pizza
Every dish was absolutely gorgeous 😋
And of course, with bottomless cocktails and Prosecco flowing all evening, we were very happy 😍🥂

What a beast this thing is! First time firing it up today and my first go at making fresh pizzas in YEARS 🙌
Dough was a bit of a fight to stretch (clearly out of practice 😅) but they still tasted unreal 🤤 The oven itself is so easy to use and has loads of space — you can cook TWO at once… not quite at that level yet 😂
Sun was shining, pizzas were flowing, and some proper good memories made ☀️🍕❤️

On Sunday we finally got to visit … and wow, it was worth every second of the wait!!
If you haven’t heard of this place yet, where have you been?! Winner of Best Pub in Britain by the Best Food Guide 2025, it’s been on our list for ages — and after trying it, we totally get the hype.
We booked back in December and this was the first available table for 4… and even rebooking means another 5-month wait 😅 That alone tells you everything about the quality.
We went for 2 lamb roasts and 2 beef roasts and honestly… unreal. Every single element on the plate had its own standout flavour. And the gravy? Proper rich red wine gravy — and when I say rich, I mean rich. Just incredible.
The meats were cooked to perfection — beef beautifully pink, lamb melt-in-your-mouth tender 🤤
Even my father-in-law (a serious Guinness critic 🍺) said it’s the best pint of Guinness he’s had in Leeds by a mile.
From the outside, you’d never guess what’s waiting inside. It’s tucked away, not central, but 100% worth the trip — a proper hidden gem.
If you’re thinking of going… book early. Like months early, especially for a weekend!

The highest pub in Britain, tucked away near Richmond, North Yorkshire. If you’re after cosy pub grub in a truly iconic spot, this is it. Think views for miles and some seriously fun driving roads on the way up ⛰️
We arrived last Monday around 1pm, could only chose from the appetites menu — mini fish & chips and the “giant Yorkshire’s little brother”… both absolutely spot on 🤤
Already planning a return for a Sunday roast (because you just know it’ll be unreal). The main menu looked incredible too — so many dishes we’ve got our eye on 👀
Definitely recommend booking ahead ✨
