Don't miss Guatemalan-born, American-Danish contemporary dance artist Jens-Antonio Schyth Brøndum at tonight's Intermediate Open Class!
Guided (un)folding
An improvisation-based physical practice that ends with a phrase, this class invites movers to reconnect with the body’s instinctive intelligence.
Rooted in effort, flow, and sweat, the practice cultivates physical readiness, heightened awareness, and playful precision. Through continuous organic physicality and guided exploration, the body emerges as the primary navigator, shaping attention, movement, and relational dynamics. With a playful approach, dancers are led into an unfolding exploration of games, images, and tools, refining movement qualities that expand the body’s vocabulary and deepen improvisational practice.

For holding me close when thoughts run wild
For showing up when nothing else does
For being so insanely stubborn, and making me dance every day
For allowing me to always feel one hundred percent human
Dedicated to my body
Let’s try it all
Again and again and again
Today, I celebrate my birth and the life I’m living.
I celebrate the continuous journey and everything it has to offer. The success, failures, loss, daily chores, unique experiences.
I celebrate stepping into yet another era, this one filled with even more exploration.
Every day I learn something new, I continue the study of dance. I embrace and express myself in more ways, even the ones that feel awkward and strange. I look to my loved ones for connection and communication.
I fall in love with life one day at a time.
35 years feels like turning young again. Young with experiences, curiosity and soft power.
So I embrace this age with a young heart, young mind and even younger body!
35 years and I’m ready to grow!
🤎
Jens-Antonio’s workshop opens with improvisation, letting movement unfold before it’s fully understood. Each day begins with opening pathways, shifting habits, and loosening control. From there, you move into set material, finding freedom inside structure.
Jens has been a teacher with us for years, and, as some of you may know, he’s moving away from Copenhagen this fall to Frankfurt, so get some dancing with him while you can 🔥
It’s fast-paced, but very much worth it <3
The workshop is open to all, but dance experience is recommended.
INFO & HOW TO BOOK:
* Sign up via app or website under “Workshops”. Link in bio to get started <3
* 900 DKK (720 for dancers under 30)

15 years and still I keep coming home
15 years and still these walls feel like my own
Thank you for reminding me to expand
Remaining steady when all things fall
For inspiring me to keep going
With everything that you hold
To all the students I’ve met, keep going!
Today I felt 18 and lost again, and then I found home
