Si può viaggiare in Patagonia senza spendere una fortuna? Non si tratta certo di una meta economica, anche se alcuni prezzi ci hanno stupito in positivo!
🦀Abbiamo mangiato piatti a base di Centolla, il granchio gigante locale, ceviche di pesce crudo e altre pietanze di pesce spendendo praticamente come per una pizza in Italia! Ma per risparmiare ancora di più:
👉 gastronomia dove mangiare pesce a poco prezzo, aperta a pranzo: 📍Roca Mar Comida al Paso, Punta Arenas
👉 per i pasti d'asporto cerca una panaderia per comprare le empanadas, oppure prendi un panino al Punto, il piccolo supermercato vicino ai benzinai Copec. Te la caverai con pochi € a persona!
🚢I tour in nave sono costosi e le agenzie hanno tutte più o meno gli stessi prezzi (a volte uniscono nella stessa barca i clienti di agenzie diverse)... non si può risparmiare qui 😂
🏨Gli alloggi in città sono abbordabili come anche l'accesso al parco Torres Del Paine. Quello che è invece costosissimo è dormire dentro al parco! Conviene quindi dormire a Puerto Natales e fare avanti e indietro (nonostante la scomodità di farsi 1h30 in auto a tratta)
🚗 Il noleggio auto è molto costoso, serve almeno un suv con assicurazione completa! Ti permetterà però di spostarti in autonomia e con maggior flessibilità, non dovendo sottostare ai tempi e costi dei tour! La benzina costa circa 1,3€/L.
💸Per alloggi, voli e noleggio auto vale la solita regola: prima prenoti e più probabilità avrai di trovare prezzi migliori! I voli e i noleggi auto mediamente sono più economici da/per Punta Arenas.

Il parco nazionale di Torres del Paine è uno dei luoghi famosi del Cile e della Patagonia, ed il cui simbolo è proprio la Laguna las Torres, un lago azzurrissimo davanti a tre torri di granito.
Qui si possono intraprendere trekking di più giorni che richiedono ottimo allenamento e tempismo nella prenotazione (i posti sono limitati e costosi).
Noi abbiamo quindi intrapreso l'escursione in giornata, facendo base nella città più vicina, Puerto Natales (1h30).
Ecco quello che devi sapere:
✅️ l'ingresso al parco nazionale va prenotato in anticipo e costa circa 35€ per 3 giorni
✅️ il periodo migliore è l'estate australe (il nostro inverno)
✅️ il sentiero è lungo 20km a/r con dislivello positivo di 800m: è richiesto allenamento e calzatura adeguata!
✅️ noi ci abbiamo impiegato 3h30 per tratta, in totale 7 ore, soste escluse ed a passo sostenuto
✅️ ci sono checkpoint lungo il percorso che dopo un certo orario vengono bloccati dai ranger: chiedi info al centro visitatori e parti presto!
✅️ è vietato fumare ed accendere fuochi: il parco ha subito terribili incendi di origine dolosa che, complici i venti patagonici, hanno devastato l'ambiente
✅️ lungo il tragitto trovi un campeggio dove possibile fare uno spuntino, e dei WC prima dell'ultima salita
✅️ non uscire dal sentiero e non lasciare nessuna traccia del tuo passaggio, rispetta i divieti e non immergerti nel lago

If you've thought about it but haven't done it yet, here's what you should know.

Patagonia is located in the southern part of Chile and Argentina.
The best time to visit is our winter, or rather the southern summer, when temperatures are mild, the days are long, and the roads are accessible. By the way, the roads in the parks are often unpaved!
The budget for this trip is medium-high, but—spoiler alert—it's absolutely worth it.
The recommended clothing is definitely warm, comfortable, layered, with a winter jacket and raincoat handy (in fact, often on your person), and waterproof boots.
We visited the Chilean side! The main activities here are:
Sea excursions, such as to the Magellanic Penguin Island and whale and glacier watching. In case of rough seas, excursions are canceled, so plan at least an extra day to be safe!
Visit Torres del Paine National Park, where you can drive to scenic spots and enjoy everything from short walks to day hikes and multi-day treks.
All this while driving among colorful houses, lupins, rheas, and guanacos.
Finally, the cuisine in the Chilean part of the country is primarily based on fish, crustaceans, and mollusks!

Lo scorso inverno siamo volati in Cile e non potevamo perdere l'occasione di esplorarne uno dei luoghi più remoti e affascinanti: la Patagonia!
Un viaggio impegnativo a livello fisico e climatico, ma che ci ha lasciato emozioni che non ci saremmo proprio aspettati.
Ci abbiamo dedicato una sola settimana come assaggio, ma siamo più che certi che torneremo... anche perché abbiamo bevuto il succo di calafate, una bacca che secondo la leggenda quando consumata ti garantisce di tornare in questa regione 🌿
P.S. siamo stati anche in isole locali alle Maldive in passato e le abbiamo amate... Si, ci piacciono viaggi completamente diversi tra loro 🤣 e forse questo ci spinge a visitare sempre nuove mete! Tutti i Paesi meritano di essere scoperti 🌏

A physically and climatically demanding trip, but one that left us with emotions we never expected.
We only spent a week there as a taster, but we're more than certain we'll be back... especially because we drank calafate juice, a berry that, according to legend, guarantees a return visit to this region🌿
P.S. We've also been to local islands in the Maldives in the past and loved them... Yes, we enjoy completely different trips 🤣 and perhaps this pushes us to always visit new destinations! Every country deserves to be discovered🌏

Questa sezione si raggiunge in circa 2h30/3h da Pechino, praticamente il doppio di distanza rispetto a Mutianyu e Badaling, le più famose e visitate. Inoltre, questa tratta è composta sia da una parte perfettamente restaurata, e sia da una originale, così come si è mantenuta nel corso dei secoli, dove l'emozione ci ha letteralmente travolti! 🥹
Qui si ha l'opportunità di percorrere 6 km di muraglia, fino a Simatai West. Occorre prestare attenzione al pavimento a tratti sconnesso ed alle barriere laterali spesso mancanti nell'ultima parte non restaurata!
👟Indossa scarpe comode e calcola almeno 4-5 ore per percorrere i continui sali e scendi. Il sentiero richiede un minimo di allenamento e non è un anello, quindi ci siamo accordati con il nostro driver per farci lasciare alla biglietteria all'andata, e venirci a prendere alla fine del percorso per il ritorno.

This section can be reached in about 2h30/3h from Beijing, practically double the distance compared to Mutianyu and Badaling, the most famous and visited. Furthermore, this section is composed of both a perfectly restored part, and an original one, as it has been maintained over the centuries, where the emotion overwhelmed us! 🥹
Here you can walk 6 km up to Simatai West. You need to pay attention to the sometimes uneven floor and the often missing lateral barriers in the last unrestored part!
👟Wear comfortable shoes and calculate at least 4-5 hours to walk the continuous ups and downs. The trail requires a minimum of training and is not a loop, so we agreed with our driver to drop us off at the ticket office, and pick us up at the end of the trail.

Ci troviamo sul Monte Ijen, nell'isola di Java in Indonesia, a 2800 metri di altitudine 🌋
Per vedere questo fenomeno quasi unico al mondo è necessario percorrere un sentiero al buio, partendo massimo alle 2 di notte.🥾
Dopo circa 2 ore di camminata tra salita al vulcano e discesa dentro al cratere, se si è fortunati è possibile ammirare questo spettacolo surreale. 🥹
⚠️È necessario indossare apposite maschere a gas (noi l'abbiamo noleggiata dall'agenzia locale che ci ha fornito il driver) e non è consigliato rimanere per più di 15-20 minuti. Tempo durante il quale sarete colpiti da ventate di gas sulfurei negli occhi e l'odore di zolfo vi passerà attraverso la maschera... Ma credeteci, ne vale la pena!!
💙Le fiamme blu, se le condizioni climatiche sono favorevoli, sono visibili fino alle 4 del mattino. Si creano dalle reazioni chimiche tra l'aria ed il gas solforico emesso a 600°C, generando così delle fiamme color blu elettrico!
Poi si può risalire sulla cresta del cratere ad attendere l'alba.
E mentre il sole emerge da un mare di nuvole, si rivela il lago azzurrissimo che riempie il cratere. Si tratta del più grande lago acido al mondo!
Questo luogo ha anche un'altra caratteristica di cui vi parleremo prossimamente 🤫
