En el Eterno Retorno el superhombre nietzcheano no es un guerrero ni un filósofo: es el artista realizado el que se crea a sí mismo, el que inventa sus propios valores y celebra el devenir cíclico. Lo hace transformando su arte en un acto supremo de amor al destino.
Al igual que Nietzsche nos interroga: ¿estás viviendo de tal manera que querrías repetir esta vida para siempre? -, Bedel pregunta: ¿queremos que esta imagen, que esta vida, regrese infinita veces?

El eterno retorno de Jacques Bedel reúne piezas de diferentes períodos de una producción ecléctica e ininterrumpida a lo largo de una trayectoria de seis décadas en las que ha sabido conjugar pensamiento y estética.
Desde sus históricas y primerísimas obras de las series “Cromosombras” (1967), “Alter ego” (1968) y “El ojo de Dios” (1969) hasta las más recientes “Rapsodias del aire” (2023), pasando por sus diversas “Aproximaciones”(1997; 2003; 2004; 2007), “Historias del mar” (2000) o “El eterno retorno” (1998), todas ellas han sido cuidadosamente elegidas y encuentran su razón de ser en este recorrido que pone de manifiesto algunas de las obsesiones recurrentes a las que Bedel se ha mantenido fiel”
