This time last year, I had a mission of growing out my hair in 2019. I honestly didn’t realize how much my hair DID grown in a whole year. Unfortunately, I don’t have any “top secret” to making my hair grow other than not cutting it more than twice a year and making sure I do a scalp massage several times a week.

Now that my hair is significantly longer than last year, I’m not quite sure I like it. 🤔 Since I have fine hair that gets weighed down easily and not having a natural tight curl pattern, the longer length adds weight to my curls and stretches them out. I notice myself looking back at my hair and wondering what I’m doing different because my curls are not as tight and I lack the volume I used to have. Then it dawned on me, that even though I want to be a part of team #longhairdontcare it’s not ideal for my curl pattern. Maybe 2020 will be the year of #shortandsassy hair for me..

I have found that this gel has served as a dual purpose in my routine. It does great as a curl enhancing gel, with a hard hold gel on top. But, I have also found that it pairs up awesome with the ReFlex serum with the Hi! Definition gel on top. For me, this gel gives me awesome curl definition AND hold!.

I used to hate taking pictures with my natural curly hair because my hair never looked good. My hair used to be so unhealthy and lifeless that I never felt beautiful or professional with my own curls.
