As I step into this new hair journey going into 2026, my goal is deeper than length. Yes, I want waist-length hair, but more than that, I want healthy hair and informed choices. I want to truly nourish what grows out of my scalp and unlearn the shame attached to it.
I’m so excited to start over with my girl and learn so much in the process. The lack of education in the black community is NOT okay and exactly why we feel like we can’t grow long hair or keep our length.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix melted butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt & pepper. Pat turkey thighs dry and place in a baking dish. Pour half the garlic butter over the turkey. Toss potatoes, carrots & onion with olive oil, salt & pepper, then add around the turkey. Drizzle remaining garlic butter over everything. Roast ~45 min until turkey hits 170°F and veggies are tender. Rest 5 min, garnish with parsley & enjoy.
