I never imagined a pair of boots could change my life, but when I slipped them on way back in the 90s, it felt like I was stepping into a whole new chapter. See, I had just begun dating a cowboy from a rural ranching community, and my once coveted high heels that I wore in the city, just didnāt feel right. The new boots felt bold, sassy, and full of confidence, much like I wanted to be. I didnāt know much about āwestern chicā back then, but I did know that Iād found a piece of myself.
Suddenly, I wasnāt just wearing boots; I was walking beside the love of my life, across fields and into sunsets. As our love deepened, so did my taste in boots. The original Justin Ropers, once my symbol of independence, were eventually traded in for classic snip-toe styles, fancier and embroidered, but now carrying the weight of stories and adventures weāve lived together.
