Como un diálogo entre arquitectura, materia, expresión artística, oficios artesanales y emoción, Covadonga Hernández presenta su segundo libro, consolidando una trayectoria de tres décadas en el ámbito nacional, donde ha destacado por su capacidad de traducir la creación de espacios en experiencias sensoriales profundas, cálidas y habitables.
“Mi estudio se especializa en proyectos residenciales de alto nivel, abordados desde una perspectiva holística que integra arquitectura, interiorismo y diseño de piezas a la medida. Nuestro trabajo se distingue por una lectura precisa del espacio, una cuidada selección de materiales y una búsqueda constante de atemporalidad, entendiendo el diseño como un proceso vivo que evoluciona con quienes lo habitan”, explicó la experta al presentar su nueva publicación: Covadonga Hernández: Interiorismo, durante un coctel en Terraza Lomas, en avenida Paseo de la Reforma 1101.
Desde el inicio de su carrera, en 1996, ha desarrollado una práctica que combina diseño, arte y producción, creando espacios donde cada elemento —desde la escala arquitectónica hasta el detalle del mobiliario— responde a una visión integral.
A lo largo de su trayectoria, la arquitecta ha colaborado estrechamente con artistas y creativos, explorando la relación entre arte y diseño como un territorio de intercambio y experimentación. “Esta visión me ha permitido construir un lenguaje propio, donde la materia, la luz y la proporción se articulan para generar espacios que no solo se ven, sino que se sienten y permanecen en el tiempo”.
Además de su labor como interiorista, Covadonga es también diseñadora de mobiliario. En 1997 fundó MarqCó, firma con la que diseña y manufactura piezas exclusivas para sus proyectos, combinando su fina producción con otros elementos y muebles de firmas nacionales e internacionales.
La presentación se acompañó de un conversatorio que contó con la moderación de María Alcocer, así como con la participación de la arquitecta y los fotógrafos Jaime Navarro y José
Margaleff, autor de la imagen de portada del libro, ambos son colaboradores cercanos en la trayectoria de Hernández.
El segundo libro de Covadonga Hernández, Covadonga Hernández: Interiorismo, se presenta como una revisión sólida de una trayectoria consistente dentro del interiorismo contemporáneo en México. Más que un compendio de proyectos, la publicación propone una manera de entender el espacio desde una lógica integral, donde arquitectura, mobiliario y arte se articulan como parte de un mismo sistema.
