This brick beauty broke ground in Co. Limerick this week. At just 22sqm, the extension is compact but transformative — combined with reconfiguration of the ground floor to create improved circulation, open-plan living, lounge, home office, powder room, utility and more for a busy household of five.
The design draws on the home’s mid-century roots: red brick flows inside on walls and plinths, while 70s details like the open-riser timber stairs and copper fire hood are retained. New timber ceiling panelling echoes the old hall ceiling, layering warmth, texture, and that effortless mid-century cool.
