Dr Hooi is a highly accomplished doctor who has degrees in law, medicine and further specialisation in Emergency Medicine. This gives him a thorough grounding in all facets of acute medicine and its regulation.
Dr Hooi opened his first private cosmetic medical clinic in the Southern Highlands in 2008. His talent, keen eye and enthusiasm for his work became recognised in Sydney cosmetic medical circles and he became the principal medical provider at a number of well-regarded clinics in Sydney.
In 2009, Dr Hooi was awarded as a Foundation Fellow of the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine. The current clinic, cosmetic MD, has been operating since 2015.
Dr Hooi is a highly respected and sought-after trainer for MINT PDO threads and is the current Executive Director of Education for Athena Biomed in Australia and New Zealand. Dr Hooi has also regularly presented workshops on the latest advances in PRP therapy or skin and hair rejuvenation and has been an invited speaker at a number of domestic (LCMC, Cosmetex, A5M, Cosmetic Summit, Cosmedicon) and international (Biobridge Venice and Biobridge Sydney) conferences on cosmetic medicine.
Dr Hooi keeps abreast of current developments in Cosmetic Medicine and has special interests in cosmetic injectable complications, bio-stimulator treatments and non-surgical skin rejuvenation.
