Türkiye Yazma Eserler Kurumu Başkanlığı olarak, geçtiğimiz yıl vefatının 25. sene-i devriyesi münasebetiyle IRCICA iş birliğinde “Yazmaların Peşinde Bir Ömür: Nuri Arlasez” sergisini düzenleyerek; yazma eserler, hat sanatı ve kültür mirasına yaptığı kıymetli katkıları kamuoyuyla buluşturmuştuk.
Sergi kapsamında hazırlanan katalogda ise Başkanlığımız koleksiyonlarından seçilen 60 yazma eser ile en meşhur hattatlara ait 14 hüsn-i hat levhasının yanı sıra, Sultan II. Abdülhamid’in özel olarak tercüme ettirdiği ve bugüne kadar hiç yayımlanmamış 30 cilt polisiye roman, Arnold J. Toynbee’ye gönderilen mektuplar ve İstanbul’un eski mimari dokusunu yansıtan fotoğraflar tanıtılmaktadır. Kataloğa yek.gov.tr üzerinden ücretsiz olarak PDF formatında erişilebilir veya basılı nüshası temin edilebilir.
Süleymaniye Yazma Eser Kütüphanesi’ne kazandırdığı 329 yazma eser, 350 hat levhası, başta İngilizce ve Fransızca olmak üzere muhtelif dillerde 493 matbu eser ile kültür mirasımıza yaptığı kıymetli bağışların yanı sıra, 232 işleme ve zengin fotoğraf ile arşiv koleksiyonuyla da önemli bir miras bırakan Nuri Arlasez’i, geride bıraktığı bu kıymetli emanetlerle daima hayırla hatırlayacağız.
