We also extended the storage into the living area with a built-in tall unit just outside the kitchen. Inside, an illuminated bar adds a small surprise and makes the piece feel more considered.

Kitchens are getting warmer, but also more practical.
We kept seeing the same details come up: soft built-in lighting, better storage, open shelving, warm wood tones, and materials with more texture.
Still very polished, but less cold. More focused on how the kitchen gets used every day.
