Ik ben zó dankbaar voor alles wat ik dit jaar mee mag maken. Dat ik gezien word. Gehoord word. Dat mijn zalen vol zitten, ik gedraaid word, nieuwe dingen mag doen en mag groeien.
Maar vorig jaar zat ik er heel anders bij. Ik zat een beetje tussen wal en schip. Niet meer van de jonge lichting, maar ook nog niet van de oude garde. Om me heen zag ik mensen vliegen… en ik stond stil. Er zijn momenten geweest waarop ik dacht: is dit het nou?
Maar ik vertikte het om een jaloerse, bittere vrouw te worden. Dat past niet bij me. Dus ik ging harder werken. Ik zei ja tegen dingen waar ik vroeger misschien nee tegen had gezegd. Tegen Maria in The Passion. Tegen Stars On Stage. En tegen nog veel meer spannende kansen. Allemaal dingen waar ik zó ongelofelijk blij van word en zó van geniet!
Het gaat goed met me. Ik durf te zeggen, beter dan ooit. Maar wat heb je daaraan als je het met niemand kunt vieren?
Daarom koester ik mijn gezin. Elke dag. Alle tijd die niet in mijn werk zit, gaat naar mijn alles: Fender.❤️
Daar schreef ik Echo Zonder Naam over. Helemaal in mijn eentje. Over hoe vergankelijk roem is. Want als morgen het licht uitgaat, zijn mijn jongens daar waarschijnlijk het meest verdrietig om. Daarom vier ik hen. Omdat we zoveel hebben om dankbaar voor te zijn.
Tijdens mijn concert in het Concertgebouw speelden we dit lied al. Ik kreeg zóveel berichtjes over dit specifieke liedje.
