The book is part of a larger effort to bring artistic perspectives into the future of space exploration, asking not just what we send to space, but who we are when we do, as it brings together 49 voices from around the world, each offering a response to the question: “How does the Moon see the Earth?”
My own contribution is an extension of my recent collaboration with and Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC),
Together we explored their work with ovarian cancer organoids and the poetic and fragile line between life and death that they embody, in a balance of controlled and uncontrolled growth — where the ovaries, as the cradle of new life, reveal a duality, as they turn cancerous when their growth becomes unchecked.
In the context of Moon Bound, my work "Growth" extends this exploration by drawing a parallel between the biological transformation of ovaries into cancer and humanity’s unchecked expansion on Earth, inviting reflection on the consequences of unrestrained growth across both bodily and planetary scales.

A visual poem that takes its point of departure from both the Shakespeare quote, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet.” and Gertrude Stein’s, “Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose” as two conecptualisations that have resonates and echoes throughout all the artworks of EDEN.
A life is a life is a life is a life - A rhythm that constantly badgers on in the back of my mind, as a deconstruction of the arbitrary nature of physical boundaries between living organisms and hierarchies between living systems. The work serves as a manifestation of a digital utopia, in which everything is perceived as living, much like the constructed reality that is the EDEN exhibition. The work features a collection of digital organisms, roses, in a state of flux; deteriorating and being built up into new life, paralleling the flow of atoms and molecules that move between living organisms across time and space. This, accompanied by surreal visualisations of craniums, likewise morphing between one another, in a process of evolution and variation, that break down the artificial differences and stages between organisms.
