IM training 2.0 & life in Mallorca lately 🐚🌅🌺🌞
& hard launching my race bike for next year eek!
quite a lot going on behind the scenes at the minute, so taken some months off from social media ~ which I think is so important to do from time to time!! 🧠 hope everyone has been doing good🫶🏻
~ Mission is to currently get speedy ⚡️on the bike & continue to improve my swim technique and run.
Going really HARD in my hard sessions & I feel it’s finally paying off 📈, hopefully I can pull off something special next year ✨.
Taking easy sessions easy & prioritising recovery has been key too.

~ x4 Ironman in 2026 is happening eek!!
Training has gone up a gear and I’m enjoying the challenge ⚡️
I’ve taken a step back on social media to focus on training, working & life!
Excited for the next few months, big love 🫶🏻
~ time offline, training in the sun & exploring the island with people I love 🫶🏻
1 ~
I did not take my easy sessions ACTUALLY easy.
Don’t get me wrong, this is still a work in progress 🤣, but this resulted in not pushing hard enough in my key hard sessions, as I did not have the energy.
I feel you can more get away with this in marathon prep, but because of training volume within an Ironman prep being so high, you HAVE to go easy on your easy sessions!
(Easy sessions are not for strava kudos hehe).
2 ~
In the fist few months I was not adequately fuelling for my big sessions, and had not nailed my nutrition.
This is such an important element within Ironman training, as it not only affects your ability to complete big sessions, but to also recover from them and not be completely depleted of energy also in your daily life!!
3 ~
I did not train intentionally in the gym.
I personally love to do it all, but trying to push 1 rep maxes in the gym while adjacently Ironman training was leading to burnout.
My training style changed to only doing the minimum needed of strength, to aid my triathlon performance, and not adding additional “junk volume”.
4 ~
It can be SO hard with social media to not compare your training stats and gear to others.
The content I like to consume is that of professional athletes, which don’t get me wrong is definitely inspiring!
But it can leave you questioning if your training is even enough.
My first Ironman was done on a regular second hand and non TT bike, & my cleats and helmet were the cheapest I could find. For my first race I didn’t want to spend excessive money on something if it was a “one off” challenge.
You really don’t need to get the latest tech and most expensive aero gear to start 🫶🏻.
~ the atmosphere was genuinely amazing + FUN!!
It was my favourite hour and 6 minutes of the day, and excited to improve on this time too 📈
I don’t really know where to start?!
That was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and so much harder than I thought it would be both mentally and physically.
The course was quite literally mountain after mountain, with very uneven rugged terrain all the way.
There was no point in which it felt like easy running!
Changed into road shoes at 50k, not the smartest idea given it was mountains but my feet were in bits.
Hit the worst pain cave / wall at 80km, my body felt like it had packed up and gone home, and I was mentally done. I so badly wanted to quit.
Happy that I did it, genuinely did not think I was going to finish it was so brutal.
The event itself was so well organised, everyone was lovely, supportive & had each other’s backs. The aid stations also could not have been better, good vibes all round 🫶🏻.
Not sure where I’m going with running from here, I feel like I need some time to process what happened and let my body recover fully before moving onto the next goal. Still can’t believe I’ve done it!
Thank you for everyone’s support
