📚 Sept–Oct: Prep Mode ON
Start early! Take your IELTS or TOEFL and start drafting your SOP, LORs, resume, and collecting academic documents. These take time — don’t leave them for later.
✅ Nov–Jan: Apply for APS
APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) is mandatory for Indian students applying to German universities. The process takes around 4–8 weeks — apply early to avoid delays in university or visa processes.
📬 Dec–April: Apply to Universities
Once you’ve got your APS (or while it’s in process), start applying to universities!
Unis like TUHH, Uni Stuttgart open early, so don’t wait till the end.
🛂 May–July: Post-Acceptance Phase
Got an admit? 🎉 Now’s the time to:
1. Book your visa appointment (slots fill up fast!)
2. Pay semester fees
3. Arrange health insurance
4. Start looking for student accommodation
5. Collect documents for visa interview
✈️ September: Time to Fly!
Book your flight for 10–12 days before your semester starts (mid-to-late September). Gives you time to settle, register at the city office, and adjust to life in Germany.
