building houses together has become part of our family story.

between the design decisions, job site visits and a toddler who thinks every construction site belongs to her, this project has held a lot of life lately.

getting to see this one come together has been really special and I’m proud of what we created here 🤍

if you want to see the Blanco house in person (she’s for sale!!), we’ll be hosting an open house THIS SATURDAY from 10–2. DM for more information.

as always thanks to my amazing team for helping me and Adam bring these projects to life.
I’ve never known myself more deeply than I do as a mother.

Motherhood has shown me my strength, my determination, my resilience and my ambition in ways nothing else ever could.

The house is messy. The chores are half done. Work happens late at night and early in the morning. I’m almost always half a step behind.

And beside me is this tiny, forceful little shadow who wants to do everything I do. She looks up to me, challenges me, follows me everywhere and somehow brings more light into my life than I ever thought possible.

Motherhood is the most beautiful and exhausting adventure I’ve ever been on. It has softened me and strengthened me all at once.

And I am so grateful to be here.

Motherhood comes in many forms. Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

From bare land to this… 🤍
The real glow up isn’t just the house, it’s everything around it. We poured into the land and gardens just as much, and now watching Colette explore it all feels like the whole point.
We’re nearing the finish line on the third home we’ve built together and somehow it still feels surreal.

Building homes with Adam, raising Lettie in the middle of it all (yes, she fully thinks she’s the project manager) and watching these spaces come to life has been one of the most meaningful parts of our life.

This one holds so many memories already and it’s almost ready for someone else to make their home.

For everyone who’s been asking… it’s for sale 🤍
(it’s a pocket listing so dm me or Adam for details)

What would you want in your dream home?
A few moments in February I had to share before April is upon us. February carried a sweet sadness to it as we came to understand that our time with Emma would be ending soon. So while we celebrated so many amazing work wins, my focus was being present in my moments at home and cherishing our family time. Life keeps moving so quickly and I’m trying my hardest to soak it all in. Thankful for February and the memories I hold so dear. First photo thanks to our amazing cover feature by 🤍 (Emma was napping for this shoot so we let her sleep through it) What was your favorite February memory?
Round Top Antique Show is still full of good deals! One of my favorite things about Round Top is finding pieces that may not look like much in the field, but end up being some of the most special pieces once they come home.
As an interior designer I’m usually looking for pieces with good bones, texture, and a little bit of history that can move around in different spaces.
A few things I always keep an eye out for:
• stools and small side tables
• vintage pottery
• art that can layer into a gallery wall
• anything with beautiful patina
After going year after year, I’ve also started to develop a rhythm for how I shop the fields and which vendors I always make time to visit.
So many of yall asked how I navigate it all, so and I ended up turning that into Round Top guides for
Sharing it here in case it helps if you’re heading out this show. 🤍

What antique piece are you always hunting for?
On Thursday, March 12th, we said goodbye to the best girl in the world. Emma was my shadow for 14 years of my life and most importantly she was Monte’s best friend. I discovered Emma roaming the alleys in Hyde Park and spent a month leaving out food, tracking her movements and gaining her trust. When I finally caught her and brought her inside she was terrified, very unhealthy after being bred and had heart worms (last slide was the first day I brought her home). I only planned to foster her but she quickly wiggled her way into Monte’s and my hearts forever. She’s the cutest bean dog that ever was. Emma was work. I’m not sure her backstory but I know that she was incredibly mistreated by humans and dogs and it took years of training, love and patience to teach her how to be a pet. Every minute of that was worth it to me. The hardest dogs are the ones you end up loving the most (and they, you). She learned how to welcome in dogs, cats, birds and lastly Lettie, who asks me where she is often. 20 photos is not nearly enough to capture the 14 years we spent together. From Texas to New York she was my velcro dog and our bond only strengthened when Monte left. I feel completely lost without her and feel like I lost Monte all over again. These past few months, and especially this one, of caretaking have been harder than I can explain and if I haven’t been myself to those of you closer to me, I’m sorry. What a devastating loss. How lucky am I to have been loved so unconditionally by her. Wiggles, Bean, Sister, Sissy, Em, Emmy, Emerson, Peanut, Beanie, Em em (Lettie’s name for her). We love you so so dearly. So happy you and Monte can cuddle together again. Adopt (rescue) and don’t shop!
We’ve been keeping a secret for months and months!!! I can’t believe I’m typing this but is on the cover of!!! Talk about a pinch me moment. I’m grateful and humbled and thrilled that this journey and I have embarked on has been so supported by everyone we meet. Thank you thank you thank you! Make sure you pick up an issue in person or online (and tag me!!)

On Sunday, December 3rd, I said goodbye to my best friend and soulmate. We spent 14 years together, over a third of my life. Monte understood me and cared for me in a way that no human could ever has. I could speak to him in full sentences or I could say nothing and he knew exactly what I was feeling. He protected me from everything. With him around I never felt alone. He vetted every guy I ever brought around and fell in love with Adam as deeply as I did. I took him to college parties, on road trips, on dates and everywhere in between. He was a model and a complete goober. He never left my side. My forever shadow. He was truly one of a kind. He won over everyone he met. I honestly could never let my mind visualize a time when he wouldn’t be around, my rock. Now that it’s here I am completely and utterly shattered. He taught me so much about love, patience, selflessness and life. I have thousands of words and thousands of photos and nothing could do justice to the amazing life he lived. I don’t know why I was the lucky one to get to do life with him but I am so, so grateful. He passed away at home surrounded by everyone he loved. I’m struggling to see the path forward right now so I’m sorry if I’m not myself for a while. Hug your loved ones close and cherish every moment. It goes by so fast. Monte ( aka Montathon, Tiffy, Montif, Montificis, Bear, Bubs, Grumpelstiltskin )
EXCITING NEWS!!! Remember when I decided it would be a great idea to tackle a MASSIVE portion of the remodel AND plan a wedding (to happen at the house) all in 2.5 months?? Well I added a whole other project into that when we agreed to work with and film our remodel (and wedding!) on their show #InWithTheOld ✨✨✨ AND our episode airs tomorrow night on TV at 8/7c on or stream on and the #MagnoliaApp. SURPRISE!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU for y’all’s continued support on our journey. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished and can’t WAIT for y’all to watch tomorrow on #MagnoliaNetwork
