Florence is so magical at Christmastime! ✨ So glad I got to see it en route to Spain to spend the holidays with Antonio's family.

I hope you all have a nice holiday season! ❀️

On the weekend I had my annual cookie swap with three of my friends and it's always so fun seeing what everyone makes. We never make a plan in advance, but everyone's cookies are always so different.

Clockwise from the top, this year we had:

Lemon Labneh Cookies with homemade candied citrus peel
( ' recipe)

Sesame Checkerboard Cookies
( 's recipe)

Fig Newtons

Gochujang Caramel Cookies
( 's recipe)

( 's) Punitions turned into sandwich cookies with my own chestnut jam

Saskatoon Berry Pie Jammers
( 's take on 's recipe)

Walnut & Apricot Biscotti
Hazelnut & Cherry Biscotti

German MandelhΓΆrnchen, Almond Marzipan Cookies
(From Anja Dunk's Advent)

Super grateful to have friends who like to make and share food together! πŸ’–

I made the last two and I really liked how the cookies turned out! The Mandelhornchen are nutty and a bit chewy, while the Punitions are very buttery.

What are your go-to holiday cookies?

Each year my friends and I do an annual holiday cookie swap. And last year I made 's Chocolate Mendiants with my own candied orange peels! I think these are the prettiest cookies I've ever made.

What's your favourite cookie to bake? πŸͺ

I'll share what I made this year soon.;)

I went to the and it looked extra festive this year!

I was very tamed this year and only got three food items: 's dark chocolate hazelnut spread with cacao nibs
White chocolate covered cherries - normally not a White Chocolate girly, but these are so good I had to get the big bag.
Sick Day juice. If you love spicy ginger, you will love this! I am obsessed!

Also got a Lemon Tea patch and a sticker from, earrings from and vintage ornaments from the vintage section (forgot the vendor name, but her Xmas stuff should be easy to spot).

Did you go and did you have any favourite booths?

(Btw, this weekend is the last weekend.)

invited me to try the Hong Kong style cart noodles and I really liked all the customization options. My bowl had curry fish balls, curry squid, wontons, yu choy, and flat rice noodles in the house spicy soup. I didn't realize the bowls already came with bok choy, so I would sub my yu choy for something more fun next time. πŸ˜… Also would recommend adding all the freebies like Chinese pickled veggies, green onions and fried shallots. Antonio enjoyed his Supreme Bowl which had a bit of everything and I really loved their lemon Tea and garlic pork belly appetizer.

P.S. For the month of November, certain dishes are at a special price with any order of cart noodles:

Crispy Fish Skin for $1.99
Curry Fish Balls for $2.99 πŸ’›
Smashed Cucumbers for $3.99

Had the best girls cottage weekend earlier this month! Our Airbnb was so cute with the best view of the lake and we lucked out with amazing weather.

We ate a ton of amazing food like ' homemade lasagna, Taiwanese spring rolls (run bing), smoked salmon bagels, and salmon kebabs. My friend picked up some cute pear bundt cakes from and I made some brown butter chocolate chip cookies, sourdough and buttermilk biscuits. I also brought some mini flans made by Antonio.

We went for a nice fall walk, created cyantopes, assembled a floral pookkalum (my friend brought the flowers), flipped through cookbooks, and sat by the fire. The perfect girly weekend! πŸ’–
Recently I tried creating cyanotype prints for the first time at a girls' cottage weekend and it was so magical seeing the designs appear! Creating tactile art with friends is such a special experience and it was nice to incorporate some of our natural surroundings into our pieces. 🌿🌾☘️

Thank you and for bringing all the cyanotype materials. 🩡

Happy Thanksgiving! Antonio and I cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves this weekend and on a whim I took a bunch of close ups for fun. ☺️ This year we made 's Caramelized Honey Pumpkin Pie, but I roasted acorn squash instead of pumpkin (since it's sweeter) and it was so yummy! Half of it is gone already. Looking forward to a week of leftovers. Hope you all had a nice long weekend too! 🧑
Happy World Dumpling Day! πŸ₯ŸTo celebrate, on Friday, Sept. 26 the Hong Kong Tourism Board will be giving away 2000 free dumplings from 11:00am to 1:00pm!

I was invited to an early celebration the night before, so I will be waking up full of dumplings. πŸ˜‹

has been making different sundaes on Sundays all summer and I finally got to try one! I actually tried to get one of their peach ones a while back, but it was sadly sold out. So this time I went nice and early and ate this for breakfast. πŸ˜… Lucky me got to try their Black Forest one and it had a rich chocolate ice cream (would have been even good on its own), sour cherry and kirsh jelly. I found the balance of everything to be just perfect and I was pleasantly surprised that the bottom of my cup had a bit more cherry and jelly so even the last bite has some topping on it.

I think next weekend might be their last Sunday Sundae of the season, but you can check their IG/stories to be sure.
