There is a completely different value in experiencing showrooms in person. Scale, materiality, craftsmanship, and intent all become clearer when you can see and feel the work firsthand.

Moving through spaces and specialty vendors brings a level of detail that a screen cannot capture. Quality is understood differently, and brand language becomes something you fully absorb rather than interpret.

These in-person visits become an essential part of the design process, bringing clarity and inspiration back into the studio.

Set against a backdrop of layered history and architecture, the experience naturally informs the work, pairing minimal, modern elements with something richer and more grounded.

Institutions like the Tate and the furniture showrooms throughout London reinforce this perspective, offering reference points that linger long after you leave.
A quiet approach to architecture.

In many of these spaces, restraint becomes the design language. By allowing the interiors to breathe, the architecture is given room to make its own impression, uninterrupted, intentional, and fully experienced.

The entryway sets the tone, not as a moment of excess, but as a frame. The client’s art collection becomes an outline rather than a focal point, allowing structure and composition to lead.

Arches repeat throughout the home, echoed in subtle variations of form and shape. Different expressions of the same idea, layered gently rather than competing for attention.

When the space is quiet, the architecture speaks more clearly. It becomes an homage to form itself, held back just enough to let it be the star.
A house shaped by the view.

Set on a multi-acre site overlooking Bluff and Lake Austin, the architecture is defined by distance, light, and uninterrupted horizon lines. Every decision was made in service of the landscape beyond it.

Expansive glass wraps the home, dissolving the boundary between inside and out. Long views stretch through each space, pulling nature directly into daily life and allowing the home to quietly echo its surroundings.

It becomes a place to pause. To sit with coffee, read, look outward, and let the day take shape slowly. A retreat designed not to escape nature, but to live within it.

Working hard, but hardly working. ☀️

On a project like this in Alys Beach, Florida, construction documentation becomes everything when we’re not on site. Every detail has to be drawn clearly enough for the builder to interpret and execute seamlessly.
It’s been incredible watching this one come out of the ground—four floors now poured in concrete after eight months dedicated just to the foundation alone. So much of the work lives below what you ever see.
Elegant Arabescato Marble surrounds the mirrors, beaded white oak drawer fronts catch the light, and a reclaimed antique marble checkerboard floor grounds the room. A custom leaded-glass window adds artistry to the shower, while an antique art piece already in the client’s collection takes the space over the top.

Elegant, layered, and thoughtfully composed, this room was shaped by expertise and complete trust.

Art, with a sense of humor.

For this client, collecting is deeply personal and often playful. The pieces she lives with reflect her perspective, her story, and a bit of the humor she carries through everyday life.

When something truly resonates, it doesn’t just fill a wall; it shapes the entire room. From there, the design steps back. Walls remain quiet, materials stay grounded, and the space becomes a canvas. One that allows art to shift, rotate, and evolve.
Designed around a reclaimed stone sink, every detail in this bathroom follows its lead. Plaster walls and a moody palette set the foundation, while gold accents add just the right amount of warmth.

A space where texture, material, and detail each get their moment.
