Kicking off my 3rd pro season tomorrow at Gulf Coast 70.3! 🌊 I have been really looking forward to an ocean swim and a flat and hopefully fast bike and run, so I’m hoping the rain will hold off and let us have our day🤞🏽 I can also confirm the humidity is outstanding. Kicking it off at 5:45am! 🥱
Durability. We’ve spent two years building the engine and… it worked! But, we built an engine that muscularly I cannot keep up with. This training block has been about going in with a scalpel instead of a butter knife. Less fluff and more precise work. Less than 2 weeks till we race and I’m excited to put it to the test on the race course! 🔥
Have had a love affair with the Pro 4 but she may have been dethroned by the Nitro Elite 4 😬 which will be too bad because I finally managed to wear an actual matching outfit.
I love the cushion and spring of the Pro 4, but the Puma is fast, light, and so nimble. It’s also slightly more stable and pushes me to run more on the mid/fore foot. But, I don’t find it to be quite as “soft”. First world shoe problems 👟
Saturday workout POV
“: And?
Me: MY LEGS ARE SOOO F*CKED”

Hurts so good ☠️
Threshold isn’t one single wattage or pace - it’s a “band”. I used to be completely tied to a single number as my FTP and pace for my running threshold and truly caused myself a ton of grief 😅 This band can move on any given day depending on:
1) temperature/humidity
2) fuel/hydration status
3) fatigue state (physiological factors)
4) treadmill/trainer vs. outside (terrain, wind, etc)
5) super shoes or no super shoes
6) warm up
7) motivation/mood/stress level (psychological state)
💡It been a lightbulb moment (several months!) understanding all of this, but knowing these things has been incredibly liberating and allowed better quality work with quicker gains 🦾
Ready for aero testing tomorrow at the Velodrome with 🚀 Excited to see how much speed will we find! Drop your questions for me below ⬇️ or in my stories!
2019 v 2026 🏃🏻‍♀️
2019: age 33, running 1:40-1:50 half marathons, had 3-4 lower leg or foot injuries in one year, lost my period for 3 months and was told it was ‘normal’ 🙄
2026: age 40, just ran a 1:27 half marathon, 12 LBS heavier, 1 injury in 4 years, and my period is regular AF 😎
Strong and healthy is fast! “Always eat enough, sometimes eat too much, but never eat too little.”
Gettin’ the new cockpit dialed and ready for testing👌🏽 I’m not sure if I just forgot how fast this bike is while it was away for 2 months or if the new set up is even faster now, but damn I missed her! This bike makes me excited to race❤️‍🔥
Thanks for the set up! 🚀
Also while in Vegas….. I said yes! 💍
If you are lucky enough to know, you know what a truly beautiful soul he is. He is kind, compassionate, sensitive, humble, funny, thoughtful, and about 1000 other amazing things. He makes me feel seen, heard, loved, and respected every. single. day. Life with Jon is a gift that I’m thankful for every day 🥰 and I look forward to spending the rest of my life hopefully making him feel the same way!

I like to keep my private life private but those that know me know what I have been through. WOMEN: just because there are no bruises or broken bones does not mean you are not being abused. Psychological abuse is abuse. Sexual abuse is abuse (you absolutely CAN be sexually abused by your partner/husband). Financial abuse is abuse. If you don’t know what gaslighting is please look it up and at least arm yourself with knowledge. If you need help, or even if you’re not sure you need help, TALK TO SOMEONE. A friend, a family member, get a therapist, just talk to someone who can help you see straight. There is a better life. There are good men. You will learn to love yourself and trust again. And, you are worthy of it! 💕
Fun facts from half marathon:
Miles 1-2: 6:41 / 6:35 NGP - avg HR 158
Miles 3-5: 6:34 / 6:35 NGP - avg HR 164
Miles 6-9: 6:42 / 6:41 NGP - avg HR 164
Miles 10-13.1: 6:50 / 6:45 NGP - avg HR 167

The week leading into the race, coach really helped me dial in my pacing strategy with some sessions where we tested lactate to find what was over and where my MLSS is. At 6:25-30 pace I hit 4mmol, but when I backed off to 6:35 on the next interval, it dropped to 3.7, signaling my body was able to control and process the lactate at that pace. HR doesn’t always exactly correlate to lactate but is a very good guide, and I knew my threshold HR is usually around 165bpm.
Thanks to knowing all of this I was really able to pace appropriately and didn’t really blow up until those last 2 miles (the 68ft gain felt like DEATH! ☠️) where I was hanging on and knew I was on the edge.

Thanks for these photos 📸 And the on course company 😝!
