A family of strong faith.. how could this happen to us?
How could my healthy strong girl be diagnosed with such a thing? Cancer? It’s never touched our family and why would it start now.?
I’ve been a believer for over 15 years now and my faith has never been more tested in my entire life. But because of that, it’s also never been stronger. I truly have cast all my cares on him. I just literally can’t do it alone.
When I think about the reality of cancer I freak the heck out. I cry and want to panic and as a mom you just go down a dark path. But God always pulls me back and always says to me… “you know my Word… my Word never returns void. “
Today as I bring my daughter to school, she’s having her first side effects of all of this, Bone pain. Now I know God has done supernatural things in her and this journey has been relatively easier than most cancer journeys.. but today and yesterday just broke my mamas heart as I see her in pain. I dropped her off and sat in my car and cried.
She’s doing great and so strong, and Ive held it together for so long, but I had a moment today and I’m reminded that’s ok. It doesn’t mean I’m fearful or doubtful of her outcome, and I have to remind myself of that. I’m crying because I’d trade her in a heartbeat.
I just want to encourage you, you can be in a tough season and think you have to hold it all together, but you can have moments. Heck you can have a day.
But regroup, know what God says about it all, know you will be victorious in this season and keep on keeping on. Don’t ever let the enemy sneak in and try to tell you otherwise.

With willow being in one of the best clinical trials that Hodgkins Lymphoma patients can be apart of, it comes with multiple sets of eyes on her and her scans at all times. We recently posted that Willow was Cancer free, but with another test done, and Seattle Children’s confirming, she still has a hot spot that has evidence of disease.
Although we are still celebrating that the cancer is free from her lymph nodes, it’s still in her Thymus and we are believing that this immunotherapy drug will completely get rid of it and no radiation will be needed. Would you agree with us?
Thank you for all the kind words and prayers and messages. I read them all to Willow and know we will overcome this. God has gone before us and already healed her.. we are just walking this healing journey out.
We have 3 more chemo sessions to go and believe she will skate by again with flying colors and no side effects.
Fun Fact ➡️ we used to get kicked outta class in HS for laughing so hard that we couldn’t stop. 🤣

Deauville Scores range from 1-5…
5 meaning strong cancer and 1 meaning no cancer on tests detected. The average person would test a 1…. Meaning no cancer. Willow on an October 2nd was told she had a Deauville score of 5…. & today received a Deauville score of 1. 🙌🏻
We are incredibly greatful to everyone who has been with us on this journey. We have to finish our chemo treatment and have another 2-4 months ahead of us dependent on the clinical trial date… so we’re not done yet…. But Willows cancer is 99.9% gone but that’s not good enough which is why we will finish our treatment in its entirety killing this disease 100%.
We are very pleased with where we are at and we wouldn’t be here without GOD’S HAND on Willow this entire time.
Please continue to pray that her side effects stay at bay for her second half and she continues to be full of energy and no sickness. Pray there is no more days of school missed and pray for her spirits to stay up… she’s for sure wanting to be done but understands we have to let chemo finish its course and ensure 100% she is Cancer Free.
