I moved to Texas 3 years ago with no job, I barely knew anyone at the gym (except ), and I tried to just “figure it out”.
What followed were 3 of the most exciting years of my life. Highlights include my ADCC debut, CJI 2, getting married, traveling the world teaching ankle locks, and making some incredible friends along the way.
There were low points too, like my car breaking down at the end of my first month, the city of Austin shutting my power off, and whole bunch of losses, but I’ll forever cherish the years spent here.
Today, we arrive in San Diego.
There are many new and exciting endeavors on the horizon, but for now, I’m just grateful for the past and excited for the future.
