I’m all for positivity but I’ll be honest with you guys, I’m a little surprised we made it to this one 😂😂 it’s not been the best year for our relationship but hey, I think it was too easy for too long there.
People change and grow.. especially being together since we were just kids ourselves, and then having our own kids young and throwing ourselves fully into family life.. so much that perhaps at times we forgot ourselves and each other.
We’ve had a lot of catching up to do.. and I think we’ve both grown from it.. despite the hard times.
At the end of the day we love the life we created together.
We make a pretty great team.. (we can also make a soccer team) 👀

Obsessed with monkeys, bananas, Curious George, dogs (goggy), water (blehbleh👅), babies, and all her siblings!
She calls icy poles “icy cold” and everything she sees in three sizes is “daddy,mummy,baby” 🥰
If she sees berries of any kind she won’t stop until she’s eaten every single one (hide your berries!) 🫐🍓
Loves homeschool group, parks, riding her scooter and causing chaos anywhere she goes 😆

This year we have 8 officially homeschooling as the twins are now school age 🫶🏻
And that makes 5 in primary school, 3 in high school plus 2 cheeky trouble makers 😝

Mostly out of laziness (finding old pics etc) but also because nostalgia feels so uneasy for me.
Not because the memories are good or bad.. but just the very concept of time passing.. and the speed of which it passes.
What they say is true about it passing faster and faster as you go through life.. and I have loved my life and I do like to look back fondly, but the feeling of missing what we can’t get back or even worrying about missing today, sometime in the future.. well, it feels weird and heavy and.. uncomfortable. I don’t want to dwell on that. I want to just enjoy today, now.
I’m not sure if this is a carpe diem thing or an unhealthy avoidant thing.. but either way!
That said, I occasionally appreciate a brief glance back in time, as long as I don’t linger too long.
Though of course, every once in a while I’ll go into full nostalgia mode.
Anyway.. here I am in 2016! 22-23 years old.. six babies and winging it each day 😆 not a lot has changed! Few more kids, few more wrinkles… same me, same passion, same purpose. ❤️
