I won’t lie, last year started out pretty rough. After an injury that prevented me from sitting, walking or driving, I felt truly lonely and vulnerable, and realized how many people will abandon you as soon as the relationship is no longer convenient for them.
At the same time, needing to rely on others showed me who was really in my corner, and gave me a deeper appreciation for those who extended their time, grace and company. It also taught me how to push myself further outside my comfort zone and ask for help. And it made me even more grateful for my amazing husband and for my incredible family.
I also learned how resilient my body truly is, and was reminded of God’s faithfulness and kindness as I began my recovery. I felt impossibly stuck and helpless for so much of 2025, but looking back, I marvel at how something that felt so debilitating only barely slowed me down.
I pushed myself to new countries and experiences, worked harder than ever before, and came out of the year stronger with huge personal and professional milestones surpassed, and with a support system I am truly grateful for. I am beyond honored and speechless, and feel like the luckiest person in the world. 🥹
In 2026, I’m choosing to focus on the positives, approach hardships calmly and with grace, prioritize my family, trust my gut more and let God’s guidance direct my life. And I look forward to seeing what comes next. ❤️
