and honestly? This is becoming one of my favourite things for couples. I wanna hype up post wedding bridal sessions for a second!!!
On their wedding day, these two chose presence over production. They spent their day fully in it - laughing with their people, dancing until they were sweaty, soaking in every second instead of disappearing for hours of portraits. And I truly wouldn’t change a thing about that….
….but afterwards, they realized they still wanted those intentional, glam, legacy-style portraits too. The kind you print huge. The kind your future grandkids find one day and realize how cool their grandparents were. So we created space for both.
A bridal session on a completely separate day gives you:
• no timeline pressure
• no guests waiting on you
• no stress about sunset timing
• freedom to explore multiple locations
• time to actually create art together
• a chance to wear your wedding attire more than once (because WHY should it only get one day?!)

D & N eloped this past weekend in a studio space that they decked out in personality! They had their sweet pup & grandparents witness this beautiful act of love.
And in a couple weeks? We get to celebrate this milestone at the party portion with all their fave people 🥰
I’ve been seeing these 2 part weddings a whole lot lately. The non traditional flow allows for some real intimacy and intention, giving the couple time to be so present together on the day of marriage and then gets to experience a second wind of celebration with all their loved ones. This is the best plan for people who

4. Searching for a low key/low chaos day(s)

D & L painted, thrifted & designed every inch of this wedding matching their beautifully quirky and whimsy personalities. There was so many colours, textures & thoughtful details right down to the plates & table cloth that everyone ate on.
is one of my fave venues in the BC area - it feels like summer camp for adults with guests being able to stay on property in cabins, kayaks at the lake & a single restaurant for everyone to gather.

The beautiful human in this photo is one of my childhood bffs - we have been creating together since we were preteens. Tash has always been one of the most photogenic humans alive and I’ve always had a camera in my hand, so we’ve made a great team, spending our spare time after school & on weekends making magic together over the past decade.
I had the amazing opportunity to capture a wedding in the beautiful country of Montenegro this past summer and Tash was luckily able to carve the time out to come meet me to adventure and be my +1. She created the most bad ass & sustainable bathing suit line this past year (check it out, they are stunning) and had just created her European line so it was perfect timing that we were in a gorgeous European country together.
These photos feel like a nostalgic dream. So full circle. We took these photos on the roof top of our Airbnb during sunset and these captures are truly some of my favourite of all time.

Junebug weddings is a blog I have looked up to since the beginning of my career. I go to their insta for inspo and mood board/manifestation wants. I go there to see the dreamiest of the dreamiest weddings in the whole world. When they reached out at last month to ask if they could publish this wedding, it was a no brainer. I had a couple different blogs I had considered submitting this wedding to, but to be found by Junebug was the greatest honour of them all!!
