1. Le persone. Senza voler creare stereotipi, gli olandesi sono tra le persone più rispettose ed educate che abbia mai conosciuto. Dall’altro canto, apprezzo tantissimo la loro schiettezza, per quanto a volte possa sembrare “crudele”. Questo perché almeno personalmente ho sempre preferito i discorsi diretti ai giri di parole.
2. L’assenza di gerarchie. Niente da aggiungere, semplicemente non esistono, tanto nel mondo professionale che accademico.
3. La burocrazia. È assurda la semplicità nel navigare tra tasse, regole, etc. Inoltre, in qualsiasi ufficio troverai sempre qualcuno che sappia darti indicazioni chiare in inglese - cosa da non sottovalutare, soprattutto considerando che difficilmente riuscirai a imparare l’olandese (almeno nel primo anno).
