It was so wonderful to work with the winning artist, Oscar. Oscar and I chose to use paint because the colours were such a great match and Annie Sloan Paint is so easy to use. The kayaks were a bit rough in places, but that didn't matter because the paint went straight on and we didn't need to do too many coats.
I think you will agree that Oscar's design is just gorgeous. It will be displayed at the wonderful outdoor centre which acts as an amazing community hub and wellness centre on the south coast.

The blue version of this table (at the end of the carousel) was born from a happy accident — a pot of paint that was accidentally knocked over.
I gave it a chance, but it never quite felt at home in the room. Deep down, I had been imagining it in black from the very beginning.
So I picked up my brushes again. A deep black background, bolder flowers inspired by the abundance of roses in the garden this spring, richer patterns, and stronger contrasts gave it the character I was looking for.
I finished this version quite some time ago now, and I’m happy to say that I still love it.
Sometimes the creative journey takes a few unexpected detours.

What once looked like an old, forgotten cabinet was given a completely new life through the art of upcycling. 💕
The journey began with carefully cleaning, repairing, and preparing the surface. Every scratch, dent, and imperfection was worked on with patience and attention to detail. Once the structure was restored, it was transformed with layers of beautiful antoinette pink paint, turning something worn out into a piece that feels fresh, elegant, and full of charm.
