This VW was lacking bass on the standard sound system but the customer didn’t want to lose any boot space. We installed:

This subwoofer box neatly sits into the spare wheel location under the boot floor however despite being hidden it really fills the cabin with lots of bass which is exactly what the customer was looking for.

This vehicle was equipped with the factory Burmester 3D Surround Sound System but unfortunately the speakers used are the same as the factory base audio systems they use in Mercedes. We opted to upgrade the speakers using the Helix Compose range along with their flex mount adaptors.
One of the serious issues on this system was the deliverance of low end frequencies, we added the JL Audio CS113TG-TW5v2 subwoofer to give clean and accurate bass to complete the system.

Custom GLC Subwoofer Enclosure
We have used the Match UP 6DSP to drive all the speakers in the vehicle which includes front components, rear coaxials and kickwell woofers. All of the speakers have been replaced using direct fit Match equipment. We have then added the Match UP 1FX to drive the 8” Helix subwoofer which is located in a custom built enclosure for OEM fit.

This customer contacted us after browsing the Audiotec Fischer website wanting to improve his audio quality, we have installed:
Match M 5.4DSP
Hertz Cento CS 250 S2
Audiotec Fischer URC.3
We have used the small and compact Match M 5.4DSP amplifier DSP which we have located under the passenger. This will be driving the factory front and rear speakers as well as the new Hertz Cento subwoofer in the boot area.
For the subwoofer we have used a custom built enclosure for the Arteon which tucks away to the left hand side in the boot.
Overall this simple upgrade has transformed the audio in this VW and the customer couldn’t be happier.
