Yesterday, the “SWEET” Alpha Pi Chapter continued our Alpha Pi Kitchen initiative, highlighting the creativity and resourcefulness of college students in the kitchen. We invited our peers to share the different plates they prepare as students, demonstrating that healthy and affordable meals are always within reach.
Here are the ladies of the “SWEET” Alpha Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated preparing their own nutritious meal while bringing awareness to wholesome food options and budget friendly cooking.
Chef Beverly and Chef Richania used food items from Mimi’s Pantry, an on site food pantry free of charge for college students in the AUC, located in the Thomas Cole Research Center Building on the second floor, to make it happen.
On the menu was Mediterranean chicken, yellow rice, cucumber and tomato salad, and homemade tzatziki sauce.
