Presented as a multi-room spatial installation, ALTARA moves between sculpture, design, and sound. A central altar composed of copper, crystal, and water anchors the space, while a dedicated listening room hosts immersive sound works experienced individually through headphones.
Throughout the exhibition, the installation is activated through daily tea-based listening formats, introducing moments of shared time, guided attention, and embodied presence within the exhibition.
Both philosophical and playful, Cat’s approach blurs the line between object and experience.

In a society where Death is denied, we implicitly relect the energy or change, and this results in us not being used to fully deal with endings.
Most of the cultures are disconnected from using ritual and ceremony to mark transition periods. These important moments can be seen as mini deaths - the death of a relationship or a marriage, the death of a job, or the death of your single life.
Without the tools to honor these endings, we end up living a perpetual state of liminality, being stuck in between, not being one or the other, carrying along old parts of self into the new phases of our life, recreating trauma and gathering regrets.
BEFRIENDING DEATH
This journey is not about dying. It’s actually about living fully, passionately and purposefully. It’s about renewal, joy, opening our hearts and being in service.
When we confront our life and death with curiosity and awareness, something truly magical happens.
The journey that we are embarking on brings a great opportunity to resolve our denial of Death, as well as our denial of Life.
