あのー、なんで猫の日でもないのに急にDO CATS!やるの？なんて思いました⁇
じつはですね、宇田川湯の山村さんとは、ネコ好きという共通点でお友達になり、いつか一緒に何かやりたいねー！とずっと話していました。
でもこのたび山村さんから宇田川湯を閉業すると知らされました。
そう、宇田川湯は来る7/31(金)に長い歴史に幕を下ろすのです。
宇田川湯の創業は大正後期。
昭和30年代に建てた建物を浴室や脱衣所を改装し、昭和、平成、令和と続き、現在に至ります。昭和生まれには懐かしい、そして平成以後生まれには新鮮な、それはそれは素敵な雰囲気の銭湯です。
昭和レトロな雰囲気はどこを撮っても絵になります。

夏が近づくとといつも思い出すのが、
クロ店長とまめ副店長との出会いです。
私達が当時住んでいた家の付近、
路地裏のどこか軒下でクロとまめは生まれました。
1枚目の写真は、初めて出会った時のもの。
この時、それまでの人生で猫とあまり触れ合ってこなかった私は、アレルギーもあり、猫はむしろ苦手な方でした。
いかにも関心がないって感じの写真ですよねー、やだわー😅
こんな頼りない子猫たちを見つけてしまったら、今ならいてもたってもいられないだろうに笑
この日は真夏☀️
クロとまめは涼を求めて、少しでも冷たい地面にへばりついていたんですね。
この日から約2ヶ月後にまずクロを保護して、
その1ヶ月後にまめも保護しました。
(出会ってから2ヶ月の間に猫に夢中になってしまったんですねー、完全に猫の魔の手にやられた)
2枚めは今日の写真。だいぶ貫禄が出てます。
もうそろそろクーラーつけようかね。また暑い夏がやってくるけど、家の中はいつだって快適適温にしておきますよー

Lately, we’ve been getting more hot days ☀️
Whenever summer approaches, I always think about how I first met Kuro (our manager) and Mame (our assistant manager).
They were born somewhere under the eaves in a back alley near the house we lived in at the time.
The first photo was taken when we met for the very first time.
Back then, I hadn’t really spent much time around cats, and since I also have allergies, I was actually more on the “not a fan” side.
You can totally tell from the photo that I wasn’t interested at all—ugh, embarrassing 😅
If I found such tiny, helpless kittens now, I definitely wouldn’t be able to just walk away… lol
It was the middle of summer that day ☀️
Kuro and Mame were trying to stay cool, pressed up against the ground wherever it felt a little cooler.
About two months after that day, I rescued Kuro first,
and then a month later, I rescued Mame.
(So yes… in those two months, I completely fell in love with cats—totally got pulled in by their magic)
The second photo is from today.
They’ve grown into quite the dignified pair.
It’s about time to turn on the AC again.
Another hot summer is coming, but don’t worry—
I’ll make sure the house is always perfectly comfortable.
You’re safe here, okay?

最近天氣越來越熱了☀️
每到夏天快來的時候，
我都會想起和黑店長、豆副店長的第一次相遇。
那時候的他們，
出生在我們舊家附近某個巷子的屋簷下。
第一張照片，就是第一次見面的那天。
老實說，那時的我幾乎沒怎麼接觸過貓，
而且還有點過敏，其實是偏不太喜歡貓的人。
照片看起來超冷淡的對吧😂
如果是現在的我，
看到這樣的小貓一定會立刻衝過去（笑）
那天是盛夏☀️
黑和豆為了找一點涼意，
緊貼著地面不動。
之後過了兩個月，我先把黑帶回家，
再過一個月，把豆也接回來了。
（完全被貓收服的過程🐾）
第二張是今天的他們，
已經變成很有氣場的大人了。
差不多要開冷氣了呢。
夏天又要來了，
不過家裡一定會一直保持舒服的溫度。
