Meow 😺!!

Hi there you wonderful humans, my name is Mouse! I was born around 1st April 2017.

I’ve had a pretty traumatising time recently. I lost my brother last month in a car accident, even though neither of us should have ever been outside 💔. I ended up lost, alone, and terrified. Luckily I’ve found my way back to Cat-CHING, who’ve helped me recover, and now I’m looking for an extra special place to call home 🏡.

I really do adore humans, I’m super social and I’ve got a lovely, sweet nature 🖤😻.

Did someone say food??

Sorry, I started thinking about food and got distracted🍗! I love eating so much. My foster parents call me a food monster. Like the cookie monster 🍪 only less blue and more cute.

Do you know I can talk?!

Hear me chatter away as you give me my favourite head rubs! I do enjoy playing for short bursts, but what I really want out of life is a knee to sit on, lots of head rubs and delicious foods.

Recently, I’ve had a flea allergy, which has left my beautiful fur a little patchy in places. I’ve been treated for fleas and the nice vets told me my locks would grow back just fine 😻.

So, if you’re looking for an affectionate, trusting and loyal cat to call your own, who loves to purr and chatter then I am the kitty for you 🐈‍⬛️!

❌️🐈 No cat pals for me - I’m still mourning the loss of my bro.

✅️🐕‍🦺 A calm dog with experience living with cats would be ok after a sensible and gradual introduction.

✅️👶 I'd be fine with cat-savvy kids. The more attention the better!

❌️🌳 I’m strictly an indoor only cat

Hi there 😸!!

Pyro here...

I'm a lovely, confident little boy 🐈, who was found on the streets of Sheffield.

I was born on 19th February 2026 (roughly), and soon after I set off out on my own. With my rucksack on my back, I left in search of my forever home 🏡❤️

I had many adventures in The Steel City looking for my new family, and this helped make me the independent kitty that I am 😸

One sunny day, I was exploring and looking for the perfect human 👀, when a kind individual found me. They brought me here, and I now have some place warm and comfortable to play while I wait for my forever home.

The true meaning of my name means " firestarter" 🔥, but fear not! I have no interest in wasting my precious time on such childish behaviour 🐱. I'm too busy chasing balls and discovering ancient, crinkly tunnels. I think I may have been an explorer in my past life 🌍!

One of my favourite things to do is eat. I’m not a picky eater; give me a Lick-e-Lix and I’ll follow you around the house and be your best friend for life ❤️

Now I'm still a young kitten, a playful kitten at that and I can get a bit overexcited. Sometimes I may have a nibble, I don't mean to hurt and I never use my claws ♥️

I don’t like being picked up, but wait until I’m sleepy and I’ll come in search of love and cuddles. I have a lot of love to give to the perfect family, and I’m excited for my next adventure!

✅️ 🐈 Another cat isn’t essential, but I would quite enjoy a friendly young cat to show me who's boss

✅️🐶 I could live with a calm and gentle pooch after a gradual introduction

✅️ 👶 I am happy to be around older cat-savvy children (8+) who will understand I am still a little boy and can get carried away at times

✅️ 🌳 I could have access to outdoors once I am 12 months old, but this is not essential

If you adopt a cat from a rescue and later find you’re no longer able to care for them, most adoption agreements require that you must return the cat to the same rescue 🐾

This isn’t about being strict - it’s to make sure the cat stays safe and well looked after. Reputable rescues have systems in place to make sure every animal goes to a loving, suitable home. If things don’t work out, they can step in to help, whether that’s offering advice, temporary support, or finding the cat a new family.

You must contact the rescue first rather than rehoming the cat yourself - they’re there to help ❤🐱

🐾 Advice for Finding a Lost Indoor Cat

When an indoor cat escapes, they’ll behave differently from outdoor cats; they’re likely to stay within a 5-house radius & will often hide quietly for the first few days.

🚫 What Not to Do

❌ Don’t put out their litter tray
The smell can attract other cats and make your cat feel even more unsafe

❌ Don’t shout their name
Your cat won’t recognise a panicked voice. Loud or anxious shouting can scare them so they hide for longer

✅ What to Do

👕 Use familiar scents
Place items with your scent (worn clothing, blankets, or bedding) near your home to help guide them back

🚶Walk calmly nearby
Take a slow, relaxed walk around your street/garden. Speak softly or chat on the phone — your cat will recognise your calm, everyday voice

🌙 Search at quiet times
Late at night or early morning is best, when traffic and noise are low

🔦 Look low and high
Check under bushes, sheds and cars & also look up — cats can climb trees, fences & roofs

👥 Ask the neighbours
Kindly ask them to check their sheds, garages & outbuildings — or ask to check yourself, as your cat may respond better to your voice

🚪 Leave a safe way home
If possible and safe, leave the door or window they escaped from slightly open — many cats sneak back in during the quiet early hours

🐈 If you spot your cat nearby...
Don’t rush or call loudly — stay low, back away a little & give them space to approach in their own time

🪤 Consider a humane trap
If your cat doesn’t return, you can borrow a humane trap from a local rescue. Make sure to always monitor it closely

🗣️ Also Remember To:

📞 Contact your cat’s microchip company — mark them as missing so vets or shelters can alert you if found

🌐 Post on social media — share clear photos and location details in local lost pet groups

🍟 Notify local rescues and vets like Cat-CHING Sheffield, who can offer further advice

💜 Most indoor cats don’t go far and often return once it’s quiet.
Stay calm, keep searching & don’t lose hope — many are found safe within a few days
