Earlier this year I entered one of my photos into the Sutter Buttes Land Trust contest for their annual calendar contest. Today, I was pleasantly surprised when I was told it was selected as the cover! 🥰
Not only was this area home for so long, it is special and full of lots of wonderful memories. I couldn’t tell you how many bike rides I’ve done through that range, it’s an excellent place to ride and explore.

They say there’s things in this life that call you. White Sands has been a dream destination for me…calling me. I’ve seen countless photos, all gorgeous at sunset, during storms, bright sunrise shots….all of which I did not get. The park closed early due to a plane incident and while the photographer in me was a little sad - the child in me was extremely satisfied and thrilled I had finally reached here. Sand in my hands…happiness in my heart. 🤍
