Este papel pintado parte del elemento decorativo buta —también conocido como boteh o paisley—, un motivo que ha viajado a lo largo de los siglos y por extensos territorios, desde la Persia antigua hasta los telares de Cachemira, y de ahí al resto del mundo.
El buta más común tiene forma de gota curvada, como una hoja, una semilla, una llama o una ameba. Es un motivo orgánico y flexible, que se transforma según la mano que lo dibuje. Se trata de un motivo ambiguo, entre lo vegetal y lo abstracto, entre lo que es claramente decorativo pero también profundamente simbólico.
En mi diseño los motivos flotan sobre un fondo de rayas, que actúan como una especie de urdimbre sobre la que se asienta el ornamento, organizan el movimiento y le conceden un carácter fresco y alegre.

Boteh, a wallpaper design inspired by the colours, traditions and imagery of India.
This wallpaper is based on the decorative element known as buta—also known as boteh or paisley—a motif that has travelled across centuries and vast territories, from ancient Persia to the looms of Kashmir, and from there to the rest of the world.
The most common buta is shaped like a curved drop, like a leaf, a seed, a flame or an amoeba. It is an organic and flexible motif that transforms depending on the hand that draws it. It is an ambiguous motif, somewhere between the vegetal and the abstract, between what is clearly decorative but also deeply symbolic.
In my design, the motifs float on a striped background, which acts as a kind of warp on which the ornament rests, organising the movement and giving it a fresh and cheerful character.
This design is available with both large and small motifs.

Bashi is a design inspired by the decorative tradition of chinoiserie. The influences of Chinese porcelain, which had begun to arrive in Europe since the Renaissance, ended up generating a trend of orientalising taste within the continent characterised by the search for asymmetry, capricious changes in size, the prominence of nature and abundant decoration, and manifested itself above all in the decorative arts. The landscape of my chinoiserie is made up of pagodas, hills, rocks, bamboo, rice fields, and carp.

After a long process, I am very excited to present this new project to you.
Since I was a child, I have been drawn to small details, the delicacy of crafts, the richness of textures and the infinite nuances and combinations that colour offers. These are details that can be found in both artistic and everyday objects.
