De multifunctionele forward kwam de afgelopen 5 seizoenen uit voor de Wisconsin University, een zeer hoog aangeschreven collegeprogramma dat uitkomt in de Big Ten conference, één van de beste college conferences in de Verenigde Staten.
Afgelopen seizoen had de 202 cm grote Amerikaan een hele belangrijke rol vanaf de bank voor de Badgers. Hij viel met name op door zijn loepzuivere schot, zijn werklust, teamspel en veelzijdigheid. Daarmee leverde hij een belangrijke bijdrage aan het 27-10 record van zijn ploeg.
