Ecuador is at the top of my list of the most incredible countries we've ever visited! I feel like it's super underrated because it has so much to offer, from the soaring Andes Mountains to the diverse Galapagos Islands.
Here are five reasons I think it belongs on your bucket list:
✨The Landscapes: From Quilatoa Crater Lake to waterfalls in the Amazon Rainforest and rugged terrain of the Galapagos Islands, each corner of Ecuador has something new to offer!
✨The Wildlife: Ecuador is one of the most biodiverse countries in the entire world! It has thousands of different creatures, including many you can only find in this part of the world.
✨The Architecture: I loved the diverse cities throughout Ecuador. Many were incredibly colorful, while Quito has some gorgeous colonial architecture.
✨ The Food: Each of Ecuadro's four regions is known for a different kind of food. They also serve large portions, so you always walk away full.
✨ The Culture: Each of the four regions also has an entirely different culture to discover. We loved excursions like watching locals make pottery in the Amazon and visiting a traditional market in the Andes to see a closer glimpse of life.
