The Vermont retreat is happening 🤍 this time on a picturesque farm in Woodstock, VT.

Spend four days (March 5–8th) stepping out of your day to day, retreating to a magical place and attuning to yourself.

Together we’ll explore practices that:
• move your body & support your nervous system support
• allow you to be present and disconnect
• tap into your creativity (knitting, journaling, art)

Ground your day with yoga, nature, rest + reflection, sauna + hot tub under Vermont skies.

You’ll be guided by me, alongside incredible local teachers:

✨ Somatic Coaching
✨ Yoga
✨ Movement & Breath

And we’ll be nourished by private chef Holly, with grounding, seasonal meals made with care.

This retreat is about weaving together practices that support your body, mind, and creativity.

I can’t wait to share it with you.

What a sacred, silly, scrumptious season. Grateful for all of it, even the cringey and challenging bits.

Here we goooooo, 2026!
I prefer deep practice over “hacks,” but I have to say, the physiologic sigh is such a good breath pattern for a quick reset.

I’ve been teaching and using it for years, but now think of it as “double in and flush” thanks to giving it a nickname! 😉

Try this out for 1 minute and see what shifts.

We live most of our lives in Kronos time — the world of clocks, schedules, deadlines, and linear progression.

It’s the “forward only” time our nervous systems are constantly tracking… and it’s also the time that exhausts us.

But there’s another kind of time that our bodies are starved for: Kairos time.

This is the time you feel, not measure.

It’s the spacious, nonlinear time where you lose track of minutes because your system softens and you finally settle into your own being.

(When I’m teaching, I often remind people to stop Doing and just be a human BEING).

Kairos time is deeply regulating for the nervous system.
It’s when integration happens.

It’s when you can actually hear yourself think — not with your mind, but with your whole body.

And we don’t get enough of it.

This is why somatic practices can feel so profound.

They pull you out of Kronos — the tick-tick-tick of daily life pressures — and into Kairos, where you can experience yourself in a more expansive, coherent, embodied way.

It’s the kind of time that changes you without effort.

This is what I hear over and over again about the way I lead tension releasing exercises.✨

Join me online for a live participatory masterclass on 11/23 and we’ll shake off stress and sink into restorative Kairos time. The best kind of Sunday vibes.

(Not sure what Tension Releasing Exercises is? TRE® is a body-based method for stress release where you don’t have to push hard or talk about anything.

I’m intentionally offering this on Sunday before the holiday season gets into full swing, since it can be an extra stressful time for so many.

It would be world-changing if more people knew about the natural stress release mechanism we all have … TRE helps you activate it!)

I’d be honored if you’d pass this on to friends if you know and love TRE, too. I’ve been doing this for 20 years and am finally out of the closet about it since it works so well and is so needed. Who cares if it’s weird. 😉❤️

There are so many ways you restore your energy.

It can come from the pattern-interrupt of a new environment, embodiment practice, or a new level of awareness & receptivity.

Restoration also comes from the potent combo of active + passive relaxation.

And *connection*! We are social creatures after all.

If you love somatic practices and sound baths, you’re invited to all of the above at a mini-retreat on Nov. 15th in Pomfret, VT.

I’ve been planning this for months based on the incredible feedback I get from similar private events. This is the elongated version for my community. 🫶🏼

I can’t wait to guide you on this unforgettable day.

🌞🌙 Equal light, equal dark. Today is a rare pause point in the year.

Guiding a somatic class on Mt. Peg for the Autumnal Equinox today filled me with such gratitude — for this land, this spaciousness, and the ease of stepping into such beauty. (I left my desk and was up here 20 min. later! Pinch me).

As the seasons turn, it’s a chance to honor what we’ve grown, what sustains us, and what we’re ready to release.

I created a few journaling prompts you can take with you into this new season below. ✨

I hope you’ll pause to reconnect to a sense of empowerment and strong footing amidst the swirling world.

I highly recommend you start with freewriting to clear out your mind from any to-dos or distractions.

🍁 What am I harvesting now from the energy, choices, and focus I’ve invested this year?

🍁 What is ready to be released so I can move forward lighter?

🍁 Imagine yourself right before New Years, in that quieter lull after the holidays. When you look back, what do you want to be proud of yourself for doing?

Can you get clear on the intention, and then take it a step further and also make a plan for the implementation to boost your follow-through?

Happy FALL! 🍂

You may have heard some of my story. The high level is simple: I felt like a failure because I couldn’t “think” my way out of stress and anxiety.

That maybe I just needed to find another therapist or affirmation that would actually work for me.

Wow, was I wrong.

In my early career as a documentary producer, I found myself immersed in suffering communities in Thailand, then made it through a natural disaster—only to be hit with post-traumatic stress and anxiety that left me feeling messed up and overwhelmed.

It was impacting my whole life—and I could hardly eat or leave my apartment some days.

I was determined to recover so I could stay in the field as a conservation and humanitarian storyteller and feel joy again.

That determination sparked a now nearly 20-year journey of researching and discovering what truly works to build resilience and move stress through the nervous system.

I learned that our bodies don’t respond to “just calm down.” Bodies speak through feeling and sensation, not language. They need to feel safe to move out of survival mode through practices like shaking, expression, and guided visualization.

Small, consistent steps rewired my brain and body, allowing me to show up more fully and thrive.

I landed my dream job as a producer at National Geographic, went on to become the head of global production for a boutique impact agency, and kept on my path of radical self-love and healing.

These days, I teach high-achievers how to transform stress into energy that fuels clarity and connection. Because it’s not about eliminating stress—it’s about knowing how to move through and choosing your state.

Now in my 40s, I feel more alive, resilient, and ready for what’s next than ever before. I share this because I know how isolating burnout can feel—and I believe everyone deserves to learn how to work with their body, not against it.

And in the big picture, we can’t change our collective problems on the planet if individuals aren’t doing their own inner work.

Let’s get to it...

Stress is contagious, but so are peace and joy.

Thanks for following along. ❤️
You probably feel uneasy looking at my body because it looks like I’m having a seizure.

Well, guess what?

I’m doing this on purpose and there’s nothing to be afraid of.

If you like mind/body tools, but could use less mind and more body, read on!

Every. single. mammal has this tremor mechanism built into their DNA. This is something you can learn how to activate, almost like opening a stress release valve in your body.

It’s called neurogenic tremoring. Some people call it therapeutic tremoring or somatic shaking.

I know it looks super weird, but who cares about it looking weird when the list of benefits is so long:

You can use tremoring to help with insomnia, chronic pain, lowering stress & anxiety, balancing the nervous system, improving circulation and endurance, and processing emotions without having to talk about anything etc. etc.

I love teaching people how to do this safely, and how to integrate it into their busy lives.

The most common things I hear at the end of my sessions are:

- Oh my gosh, I feel lighter.
- I feel so much better.
- Everybody needs to know about this!
- Thank you, that was amazing.
- I am so relaxed, I feel like I got a massage.

Yesss!

You don’t need to drag heavy burdens around in your body.

I work with clients virtually where we’ll customize the process to your needs and you’ll have a practice you can use for the rest of your life.

You wear your coziest and just be you. I’ve got you.

There’s a “private TRE” booking link in my bio, or just reach out if you’d like a payment plan.

I’ve been using this life-enhancing practice for almost 20 years, and goodness knows I have been using it a LOT this week as I am processing the LA fires. 💔

What questions do you have?

First of all, I want to make sure we’re on the same page.

There are Big T traumas (“BOOM”) and there are also little t traumas (“drip drip”) because trauma is not in the event.

What is a Big T trauma for one person might be a little t trauma for someone else because trauma is when something totally overwhelms your capacity to digest and essentially metabolize something that happens in the moment.

So, here’s what I did during and 24 hrs. after a trip to the ER for my toddler and why, as a trauma-informed coach and trauma releasing exercises provider.

👉🏼 I let my body tremble and shake for as long as it needed to with absolutely no judgment, and thanked my body for helping me try to move all those stress chemicals flooding my system right on through.

👉🏼 I made sure I was having some water and electrolytes. When you’re in a hyperactivated survival state with so much adrenaline, it’s hard to eat as your digestion shuts down. I didn’t even try, but had my husband grab prepared foods so we would have something nourishing and ready to eat later on.

👉🏼 I snuggled close with my little girl, on the hospital bed with her. It was easier for me to feel solid with my body supported like that rather than trying to sit or stand, and I was able to focus on speaking to her calmly and sending her unconditional love.

👉🏼 I didn’t say “you’re ok” — I said, “The worst is over, I’m right here with you.”

👉🏼 We did NOT talk about what happened while we were dysregulated. After we got home, we went through our normal bedtime routine (even though it was way after bedtime).

I knew about a Harvard study which found that after 9/11, talking about the tragic event in the first 24 hrs. did NOT help, & actually led to further trauma.

Since I knew about this, I didn’t call and talk about it or FT with anyone in my family. You don’t need to verbally process when in shock. You need to soothe your “creature” self; your body and nervous system.

(After 24/48 hours, if someone wants or needs to tell their story, you can have them create distance by by telling it in past tense like it is over there across the room, playing as a black and white movie.)
