Me and Jas went to Cardiff Market!
Hereโs everywhere we managed to visit ๐
Pierogi Cardiff -
ยฃ8.90. We went for 4 Welsh lamb dumplings topped with onions a cheese leek side dipping pot. These were absolutely outstanding. Some of the best pierogi weโve ever had. Big dumplings filled with a rich flavoursome lamb, caramelised onions were brilliant! The cheesy pot was delicious.
Tokyo Nights -
ยฃ8. This spot was super popular. Waited roughly 30 minutes as everything is cooked fresh. I was stuck between the hot chicken or the Tonkotsu. I ended up choosing the tonkotsu this was a fried pork loin served with cabbage, mustard, mayo and Tonkotsu sauce served up inside toasted bread. The flavour on this was SO GOOD! Also loved how crispy it was, the mustard and Tonkotsu sauce with the cabbage went so well together. Great value. Only thing Iโd say the pork was pretty dry. Would of got it swapped over but the queue was pretty long. All good though - will 100% come back here though to try again.
The bread stall -
70p. Welsh cake. Canโt come to Cardiff without getting a Welsh cake. Jas loved this. Great price, sugary, sweet and delicious. We wish we got more of these to take back home with us!
The bearded taco -
ยฃ10. Me and Jas were both really craving tacos so when we seen this spot our eyes lit up. 3 carnitas. Mexican shredded pork topped with roast tomato salsa, creamy gauc, pickled onion, coriander & toasted sesame seeds. The shredded pork was fantastic, soft and crispy. They had a great sauce selection and you could also buy sauces and seasonings. We got Tajin for ยฃ3 a bottle.
Bao Selecta -
ยฃ11. This is for 2 crispy โbeefโ bao. Sticky ginger glaze, Szechuan cucumbers, pink onions, sesame & sriracha. This was the most expensive we got on our little food tour, I seen it being made, I had high hopes and my days - IT LIVED UP TO IT! Easily the best thing we had ALL DAY. The flavours were incredible, every single bite was unreal. The crispy โbeefโ was outstanding. Just actually found out itโs all completely vegan!
Overall we had a great day at Cardiff indoor market. Iโd highly recommend checking it out. ENJOYโค๏ธ
