Before pets and portraits, there were local shows and local venues 🎸 My photography journey started with local bands, friends’ events, and capturing the chaos of the moment. Lately, I’ve found myself back in that world just this time, tagging along with as he dives headfirst into the event photography scene.
Every now and then, I might steal the camera from him. Who knows… maybe there’s a future for us as a photography duo 👀🎞️

After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided to shift my creative focus from collab-based model photography to something that’s always been close to my heart: pet photography.
If you know me, you know my love for animals runs deep and being able to combine that love with photography feels like the most natural next step. I’ve found so much joy capturing real, beautiful moments between pets and their people, and I truly believe there’s space for me to grow and thrive creatively in this new direction.
This doesn’t mean the end of Captures by Courtney — I am still available for paid model/portrait sessions. But the reality is that collaborating for content without compensation just isn’t sustainable for me right now. I’ve had to make a financial decision that supports both my livelihood and my passion and pet photography feels like a step in the right direction on both fronts.
Thank you for supporting me through every season of my work. I’m so excited to explore this new chapter and keep creating with heart.

So much happened in 2024, I didnt post on here much that’s because I didn’t do a lot of photography in 2024 I focused a lot on my UGC content creation on TikTok and the majority of my focus was on my job. Which is still going to be the case this year however I am wanting to dedicate at least 2 days a month for session, I won’t be taking on many collabs this year and focusing on paid shoots instead.
With all this being said I am posting this throw back session with because this is still one of my favorite sessions I have done.

We all want to be accepted, but the trick is to not be accepted by everyone. There's a fine-tuned frequency that we put out, and when we create art, it's an outward reflection of that. The polarization caused is an active represestation of who fucks with you and who doesn't 🥳🤌🏻
