To clarify, before my comments are full - I don't hate all exclusives. I love variety in covers and nice art showcased. Well timed, well done Exclusives done selectively are great, and an awesome way to support your favourite Comic Shops or artists. Companies that ONLY make exclusives & put out 20+ a week at high MSRPs - in my opinion, aren't Comic Shops at all - but I'll get off my soap box now!

I am thrilled to share these beautiful books with the world! These books have been safely stored in a personal collection for decades. Today I had the thrilling experience of pulling these from their old bags & prepping them for next steps.
There are some great Golden Age books from this collection that will be sold raw on our website in the near future, however all of these pictured will be graded before being listed for sale. Check out the grades! The Cap JR & Master 21/35 will all beat the Promise copies. Stunning!
There is lots more to come! These books come from a remarkable personal collection, a friend of the store, and a pioneer in the Canadian comic industry. It is truly an honour to bring them to market!
As these books make their way into our website, we will share more of the history that comes with them. For now, I have taken an excerpt from Johns Obituary (below). I have had countless conversations with Toronto area collectors who fondly remember Dragon Lady over the last few years as we have assisted in selling their leftover inventory - but more on that later!
John Biernat (1941-2023)
In 1978, John, a high school teacher, founded Dragon Lady Comics, a Toronto institution that endured until 2012. In recognition of his efforts to preserve classic comic strip art, Milton Caniff called John the "keeper of the flame." John's contribution to North American comics and comic art cannot be overstated, but he was an equally passionate collector of rare books, fine art, and rich experiences.
