So the new plan is this. I know I want to stay on the road until February 3rd 2027 and I want to end it in Washington. I know a few places I want to go. I don’t know where I want to live at the end. Part of the trip is figuring that out.
But the big picture goal is taxing and making me worry more.
So I’m gonna break it to monthly goals & focus on the month ahead of me. So current focus is June. I want to stay in ATL the entire month.
I said I would document all of it so that’s what I’m doing. This part of vulnerability & transparency isn’t the easiest but I know it will be worth it. Time for me to be a sales manager of myself and show yall how I’m actually making this work.

Like a plant I needed to prune away the dying leaves to save what was left. I’m not even talking about anything outside of myself. But parts of me. Parts of me I’m scared to let go. Parts of me that grew out of protection that are now holding me back.
So I stayed in portage waiting still to be saved. To be loved & chosen. One last “maybe it will be different this time” It wasn’t.
So I left with a broken heart.
My friend said in a voice memo “what does giving up even look like? Does it look better than just continuing!”
She’s right. Giving up isn’t even real. This is for the books. 📕📗
Besides the one scary night in a motel 6 St. Louis was a dream. It made me realize how big the world is even if I make mine small.
A man I met invited me to dinner at his mom’s house for Mother’s Day and that healed something in me. I didn’t go but still.
Running into on a Mother’s Day skate session filled my tank up full enough to head to Memphis. Skating together and a hug can go a long way. 🛼💕
I don’t even know if she realizes how impactful she was.
I danced to Nelly & Huey at a 2000s party and it felt like I was reclaiming back the years I had spent trying to show the world I was a good mom by my career or what I could provide. Missing the mark majorly on the quality time that went by too fast. I now know a good mom lives whatever kind of life she wants showing her kids they can do the same.
I’m striving to do that now.
Grateful for all the encouragement and gifts that are helping push me to my goal.
