Throughout my professional life, while working both in Türkiye and abroad, I have witnessed the journeys of families carrying hope from many different countries around the world.
Today, an unforgettable milestone was added to one of these journeys.
For the first time, we had the joy of sharing the news of pregnancy with a patient who came from Indonesia. 🤍
This story, which began thousands of kilometres away, took on an entirely new meaning today with a single sentence:
“Congratulations… You are pregnant.”
In that moment, I was reminded once again that although languages may differ, the happiness reflected in people’s eyes remains the same.
One of the greatest privileges of being a physician is not only providing treatment, but also witnessing the most beautiful chapters of stories that begin with hope.
I sincerely congratulate this wonderful family and look forward with excitement to the day they hold their baby safely in their arms.

As we zoomed in on the ultrasound image, we saw the heartbeat of the baby, who was only 6 millimetres in size. Much smaller than a bean… Yet that tiny heartbeat instantly filled the entire room with the parents’ happiness. 🤍
We wanted to share this beautiful news with the father as well. When Ersin entered the room, Sema’s tears and the excitement in their eyes made the moment even more meaningful for all of us.
Sometimes, just a few seconds on an ultrasound screen can become one of the most unforgettable moments in a family’s life.
